Question Is my target too hard?

I am aiming to lose 58lb in one year. This is three stone, is it unhealthy to lose this amount of weight quickly?? Do you think it is possible or am I being too eager? I realise its more than a pound a week but hopefully my first couple of weeks i should hopefully be losing more than a pound a week (I want to lose around 20lb in 8 weeks so around 2.5lb a week) Hopefully more!!

What's a realistic weight goal really? I'm 15 stone 4 lbs, and want to be 12 stone eventually. I've given myself a year, as I dont want a short term diet, i want a healthy lifestyle and so a year should give me time to adjust and perfect

Is it better to give yourself a time limit?

And is my weight loss goal realistic?!

I have lost over 4 stone since 22nd April. I was more overweight than you though but I think your target is realistic. Good Luck on your journey xxx

I believe a 1 to 2 pound loss per week is considered healthy. So your target sounds fine to me. Good luck!

I think your target is good but it will be a challenge. If it wasn't challenging though it wouldn't motivate you so go for it!

I had such little faith in myself! I've lost three stone already in half of that time and I want to be in my 10's not 12's haha love how I was convincing myself to lose less before! Weird, my mind set has changed dramatically!
