I'm new here, but losing weight!

Just saw this when I was cruising the web, and thought it would be a fun and helpful forum for me.
I've been obese for about 18 years now, but steadily losing weight since June.
I lost 6kg (14 pounds) about 7 years ago and kept it off, and now I've lost another 13kg (about 30 pounds) since June of this year. I am absolutely stoked! :p:p
This is the last time for me - I'm going to do it once, and do it right!
I want to lose another 24kgs (about 56 pounds.)
Just thought I'd hop on here so that I can keep the momentum up.

Hey , I came across this the same way. Started my diet nearly 3 weeks ago and down 16 lbs in the first 2 weeks . Weigh in on Sunday. Started at 350lbs and plan on getting to 220lbs in 52 weeks or less.

Thanks guys!
and I just noticed that now I have all the really cool stats at the side of my post too! So I've lost nearly 15% of my body weight? I'm doing a little happy dance right now! :O)

It is amazing losing weight, feeling it come off, fitting in to smaller clothing! The other day I had to clip my toenails....and I realised that I could bend over to do it and didn't have to hold my breath! I was so amazed that I stayed slouched over in that position for absolutely ages! lol

Wow! Your weight loss has been amazing! I bought his book on weight loss, but I don't think I was at the right point in my life at that stage. You don't have much farther to go either. Good luck with reaching your gone weight on your target time. Are you losing weight for a specific purpose?

I'm just at the point where I'm tired of being overweight. The weight never used to bother me but I'm finding more reasons to loose it everyday. High blood pressure , arthritis, sleep apnea, lack of energy and I recently broke my foot . I am on my feet at work all day and now just seems like the time to just get rid of the excess weight and start living a healthier life.

Do you weigh in daily or weekly?I'm doing weekly as its easier to see the difference .

Thanks. And not far to go at all. :) I really loved the Paul McKenna book. Personally I'm losing weight for a party my friend throws every year for bonfire night. But it's something I've needed to do for a few years.
