So I'm a 46 year old guy, 350lbs, looking to loose 130lbs in 52 weeks. Thats an average of 2.5 lbs/week. Sounds like an achievable goal but not an easy one. I like food a lot but I have high blood presure, arthritis, and sleep apnea. On top of all that I work on my feet all day and I recently broke my foot .While I was off work I put on 15lbs:eek: when I got on the scales and I realized now is the time.

I've started my diet Sept 15th and lost 8lbs the first week and another 8lbs the 2nd week .... off to a good start . weigh in tomorrow for 3rd week results:D I know this is not going to be easy but there are many encouraging posts on this site and more every day

Hey.. That's a great start! What diet are you following?

Well, weigh in was today and I'm down another 5 lbs. 21 kms of walking but huge family turkey dinner with gravy and all the fixins....thought the loss may not have been that good. :):)

Going to try for 20+ kms again this week and see what happens!!

Thanks, You're doing quite well yourself.:happy096: 16 kms of walking in the last 2 days and hopefully another 20 more :sigh: before weigh in ....so hoping it will show on scales .

Well I went to the Doctor last week and he weighed me while I was there . Much to my suprise I was heavier that I had thought. My scales were weighing 20 lbs lighter than his , so I went out and purchased a new set. The new set is also aprox. 20 lbs heavier too , sooooo , instead of 130lbs to lose it will be 150lbs. Either way I will lose it and I will be 220lbs after 1 year of dieting ..... it will just take even more commitment . :)

I went back to work this past week after being off for 3 months. It will be interesting to see what happens after working all week and not exercising so much.:sigh:

You can still lose with eating healthy. :)
