So this is it! Me kicking the fat once and for all!

Who am I?
Well as the title suggests I'm an housewife and a stay at home mummy. I'm 28 years old, 5ft 5" and weigh 14st 12.5lb as of yesterday (27.12.13) Eeek!

Why now?
I'm fed up of not fitting in to my pre pregnancy clothes although I can't call it baby weight when my daughter is 3.5 years old! I want to enjoy going out and about rather than worrying about what I'm going to wear! I want to be the old me not the me with 2/3 double chins in every photo. Or the me with back fat when I wear a fitted dress / top.

Failed attempts?
The past 3.5 years has been one big fail of an attempt. Following the weight watchers pro points system just hasn't worked for me.

Successful attempts?
In 2005 I lost 2 stone from March to August going from 12st to 10st, following weight watchers switch plan.

The plan I'm following?
Well I've dusted off my old weight watchers books ready to do it from home, but with my own little twist. Sometimes pointing just isn't an option (like on a all inclusive holiday) so I like the filling and healthy attitude of not counting and eating until your full. I'm therefore going to count points most of the time but opt for a filling and healthy attitude when it's just not an option. When I opt for fh I'm going to allow myself 3pts a day to cover things like mayo etc. I want to add exercise in to my routine and use my gym membership. I'm going to set my own fitness targets each week. My wi will be Friday to keep me on track at weekends and my measurements / progress photos will be taken every 4 weeks.

My goals
10lb off by 27th Jan 14 (Egypt Holiday)
Maintain whilst in Egypt for two weeks.
21lb off by 21st March 14
28lb off by 2nd May 14
35lb off by 6th June 14
42lb off by 18th July 14
49lb off by 8th August 14
Maintain whilst on holiday for two weeks
Reach goal of 58.5lb by Christmas 2014
 
Food Diary 27.12.13
What a day to start, hubbys bday. I knew I was going to go over I just wanted to make better food choices. Family had pizza and chips I had Chicken tikka kebab and chips.

Breakfast 1.5pts:
4 rings of pineapple 1pt with 100g low fat greek yoghurt 1/2pt

Dinner 7pts:
ww chicken curry 4.5pts with a ww pitta 1.5pts

Tea 33pts:
Chicken tikka kebab 12pts with a portion of chips 7pts followed by a piece of cake 5pts washed down with a bottle of wine 9pts

Daily Points: 23
Points Used: 40.5
Points Saved: -17.5 (total -17.5)

Like I said I knew I'd go over but had I not tried to be good with my options it would have been soooooo much worse. Plan of action? Bite it write it which I did so now I move on! Here's to an even better slimming day :)
 
Food Diary 28.12.13
Impromptu buffet at my grandmas and wrongly guesstimating some mini onion bhajis means I've gone over again. If I wasn't watching though it would be far far worse!

Breakfast 1.5pts:
4 pineapple rings 1pt with 100g low fat Greek yoghurt 1/2pt

Dinner 8pts:
Two slices of bread 2.5pts with 55g of red Leicester cheese 5.5pts

Tea 18pts:
60g pasta 3pts with tuna 1pt, then an impromptu buffet means 3 mini onion bhaji for 6pts onion ring 1pt potato wedges 1pt 2 pieces of garlic bread 2pts and pork pie 4pts

Daily Points: 23
Points Used: 27.5
Points Saved: -4.5 (-22 total)

Feeling pleased with myself because I came home and googled the nutritional info so even though I went over through wrongly guesstimating I haven't cheated. Tomorrow is going to be an interesting one with another buffet this time at mine. Hopefully I will have my cheat sheet handy in the kitchen with everything pre pointed so I will know what's on my plate beforehand.

Breakfast 1.5pts:
4 rings of pineapple 1pt and 100g low fat Greek yoghurt 1/2pt

Dinner 8pts:
Two slices of bread 2.5pts and 55g of Red Leicester cheese 5.5pts

Tea 18pts:
Impromptu buffet at my grandmas
60g of pasta 3pts with a tin of tuna 1pt and salad 0pts
This is now where it goes wrong through wrongly guesstimating whilst mentally counting my points up. Once home I googled all of*the nutritional info so I know this is correct.
3 mini onion bhajis 6pts onion ring 1pt potato wedges 1pt 2 pieces of garlic bread 2pts and pork pie 4pts.

Points used: 27.5
Points Saved: -4.5 (-22 total)

I'm not annoyed or upset at going over again I'm more pleased with myself for not giving in and instead coming home and writing it. Some food victory has been gained because I turned down cakes, triffel, chocolate and other sweet treats.
 
Hi Cheese Thief thanks for popping by and following my journey :) I know this week is a funny week to start but I also know if I wasn't trying I'd just gain excessively more! I've got a family buffet today at my house but I'm hoping to have a cheat sheet handy to not go over. Lisa x x x

Family buffet went wrong!
Cheese sandwich 8pts 3 mini onion bhajis 6pts 3 mini cheese and bacon bites 6pts cheese and bacon quince 5pts bottle of wine 9pts

Tea 8pts:
Mexican rice 8pts

Daily Points: 23
points Used: 43.5
Points Saved: -20.5 (-42.5 total)

Well I really have found out so far this week where buffets are concerned I have no self control. Tomorrow will hopefully be and easy slimming day with nothing planned! Come 2nd of Jan I'm gonna detox!

I pulled my back out earlier today :( feeling very sorry for myself. Tomorrow is not going to be a very good day with lots of booze and NY day is going to be soaking up the booze with my bro in law and sis in law staying over. I'm tempted to weigh in tomorrow so I know where I am and then go back to my Fri weigh in next week? Input greatly received.

*waves* Hi everyone thanks for following and joining the journey :)

I've been so busy yesterday and today has been spent nursing a very very bad hangover so you can imagine that for two days I've been off plan! BUT I did weigh in yesterday (two days early) and lost 2.5lb so I now have exactly 56lb to go. This has just proved to me that even off track and tracking can achieve something! Back to it tomorrow!

New Year . . . New Me

Today has been all about preparation, you know the old saying Fail to prepare Prepare to fail well I've been preparing a four week food rota.

I've planned all of my favorite evening meals over four weeks, means I won't feel I'm missing out and I won't get bored. The plan is to only buy food in for the week for what is planned. Less waste and hopefully a smaller waist ;)

Next plan of action is to sort out my exercise plan. I get bored easily so I want to try do a 4 week thing again to keep my interest.

Here's to preparing to get the body I want :)

Pasta shapes 1.5pts with 50g of low fat cheese 4pts and a cob 2pts

Home made wedges 2.5pts with homemade quorn lasagna 9pts

1/4 skimmed milk 1pt

Thanks girls :) I'm proving to myself that just because I'm losing weight doesn't mean I need to be eating just salads moderation is key! As long as I get a loss I'm happy, if I feel something isn't working then I'll tweak it as I go along.

Yea i agree with u, ive been cal counting to maintain my weight for a few weeks now and ive been eating everything i want as long as im on point with my allowance. Theres no point eating to lose weight but not enjoying what u eat.

Two slices of toast 2.5pts with 50g of red Leicester 5pts

Dinner 4pts:
Salad 0pts with five chicken nuggets 2.5pts and a packet of French fries 1.5pts

Tea 11.5pts:
Ww chicken curry 4.5pts and a cob 2pts followed by a ww caramel crunch 3pts

Snacks 7pts:
Muffin 5pts and a Jaffa cake bar 2pts

Daily points 23
Points used 28
Points Saved -5 (-4 total)

I've eaten a lot of sweet things today my plan of action for tomorrow is to cut the sweet things and pull back my 4 points I'm currently over by. The good thing about ww is I can enjoy and pull it back in.
