The time has come to start a diary.....

I've been here before, back in 2012 on Atkins and then 2013 on Weight Watchers and the 5:2 :-/ They didn't work, well, didn't last!!!!

Before that I did have success on Slimming World and with Calorie Counting, losing over 2st on each occasion, but always giving up after time.

I'm now 26, 15st 9.5lb and fed up of being out of control. I just can't do this anymore.
I'm back on slimming world (green)and need 2014 to be my year to conquer my weight and eating habits.

Ill use this diary to keep track, and upload progress pics.

My most recent photos, urgh I hate seeing these as I didn't realise how big I was until I saw it, and saw myself from other people's perspectives.

I need these to be on here so I have to see them and use them as motivation. I can't be this person on the outside anymore.

Keep these photos and take a new full body shot one every month on your journey on Slimming World, then if you ever feel like you're losing motivation you have the comparisons as motivation! It really helps :)

Thanks Linz :), I will try to document with photos as I go along. I'm amazed I've actually not deleted these photos as my stomach turns each time I see them. My weight gain had definitely caught up with me this time I honestly didn't realise how big I have got.
New year, old diet is back and I know I need to do it this time, if not for vanity then for my health. I need to keep positive and post here if I'm having a bad day, I'm hoping seeing it in writing will drive home how important it is that I keep on the right track.

Also I definitely want this to be the last time I have to 'get back on the wagon', no more yo-yo. Bit depressing to think this is yet another attempt to lose weight, and that I've pretty much tried every diet going. This needs to be the success story and not one I quote in another 3 years time when I'm even bigger and trying again.

First official day on the diet, and it falls on one of the Christmas period family roasts!! I timed that well lol.

Wasn't too bad in the end, had glazed gammon with veg and a wee bit of trifle. Ended up using 31.5 syns in the end (3 bottles of beer included in that!!) so could have been a lot worse.

I find days off the worst as its harder to control, at work will be better so tomorrow should be relatively syn free :) Previously on sw I did extra easy, and this time I'm trying out green so it's asking a while to get my head round it! I figured as I like to eat more dairy rather than meat this would suit me more. I feel good today, in control at the moment, which is an unusual feeling.

Another day down. So far so good.

Declined a mince pie today, not done that in a while!!

Happy new year everybody :) :) :)

I hope you all saw the new year in properly!!

I had a few beers :-S ill have to syn them properly when I get up tomorrow, but have started the year as I mean to go on, I rejected all party food and ate just my planned meals for today!!!!! I'm extra pleased with myself for this as party food/nibbles are my usual vice.

I feel very good about myself, even managed to get a couple of good family photos that I look half decent in! A good evening all round.

I've got my New Years resolutions ready:
1) stick to Slimming World for a whole year. I've lost on it before I can do it again.
2) play on my Nintendo wii at least once a week
3) save enough money to contribute to a new kitchen and bathroom later this year, and then maybe a wedding next year, if dear boyfriend asks the question...
4) be me at my best. Lately I've let myself go in terms of no make up\ hair pulled back in crappy ponytail. I want to be girly again. I hope (1) will help with this as feeling a bit fat doesn't make me feel most attractive.

2014 here we go.....

Happy New Year.

Well done on having a great party without all the nibbly bits; you're an inspiration already & 2014 has hardly started.

Love your New Year's resolutions. I've not written mine down yet. Still sat in bed thinking about them & waiting till I'm up & have weighed myself; won't that be a treat???

Good luck to you & hope your resolutions all happen for you.

Rita :)

Good luck with your resolutions. I too have set a New Years resolution to make more effort in the way I present myself, I'm going to wear make up every day (even days off!) and think about my clothes choices as I've got into such bad habits and I know how much better I feel when I make some effort. I can then concentrate on reaching goal and building a wardrobe of clothes for the new improved me!

Thanks everyone, I'm hoping I will stick to them this year.

So far my most successful resolution was to take more photos and I've managed that the past 2 years. The only one I always seems to lose track of is the weight loss so I'm hoping ill crack it this year.
I went to Asda yesterday to buy some free food snacks, I'm hoping the fact that I can always eat something will prevent cheating as I find as soon as I am restricted I cheat and panic.

Fingers crossed!!!

I tend to keep away from photos but I had my daughter take some on Christmas day so that I have something to compare with, but also to give me the kick that I needed to put me back on track.

Having free foods available in the best thing to do as it's when we're most week that we just go for whatever is to hand and if that's not free food then we could be in trouble.

Good luck!!
