Well starting my last(positivity! ) diet before healthy living for good. Shake that weight till December
Looking to lose six and a half stone. Starting at 16 st 12
So its goodbye to the unhappy overweight me and looking forward to a better health and happy me
Am going to try and post daily as a kind of motivational diary for myself and also took a series of underwear shots (for my eyes only lol) which was scary and upsetting but going to try to do that every couple of weeks to see the new me emerge
Feel really determined this time and have six weeks supply of shakes in spare room
Good luck to everyone else and would love to hear any tips or advice particularly surrounding alcohol
Think I will miss having a wee wine with hubby the most. Xx

Well as usual with me things didn't quite go to plan. Came home from a nice weekend away fully motivated on Monday to start my diet yesterday. Came home with a bit of toothache Monday that gradually got worse until up all night Monday. Contacted my dentist on Tuesday morning who couldn't see me till today. By six O Clock last night I was climbing the walls and had to phone NHS 24. Got seen by a dentist and had a nerve root removed from a tooth that I had filled a few weeks ago. (So much for me replacing old amalgam fillings with white ones!!). So back to my own dentist today to check it and make appointment for root treatment. Hence diet last thing on my mind. So my new start date is tomorrow the 8th May. Shakes at the ready and spare room treadmill dusted off. although hoping that the weather gets more dry days than wet so can take the dog for long walks. x

Well 1st day down with no dramas
Managed 3 litres of water and a few black coffees. Tried the vanilla, the caramel and the caffe latte flavours
All good so far. Definitely better with ice and whizzed up. So only 231 days to go lol xx

2nd day nearly done and just finished last shake. Still so far so good and no hunger pangs. Weekends can be my downfall so have got a btl Co-Op diet coke no citric acid to have a couple glasses( I will just imagine the vodka is in it) lol xx
Managed 3 litres water and a few black coffees so hopefully intake enough. Lets hope my will power keeps up. Onwards and downwards x

Sitting at work at the moment(Flexi day) and my office is above the kitchen. Lovely smells coming from there as i sit and nurse my shake!! Have my underwear shot on my phone next to me (Not Pretty lol x) to look at if I feel my resolve weaken. When i am busy i am fine dont even think about food but temptation is always there!!. Will go out for a long walk with the dog when I finish kill off another hour xx Onwards and downwards

Hey Martine, you're doing well so far. That's a really good idea having a pic on your phone at work. I might steal that idea haha! Work is the worst, especially an office job where it's so easy to sit and snack all day.

Well weigh in day tomorrow and have had a really good first week. No cheating at all which has been the first in a long time that i have not succumbed to temptation. Really pleased with myself. I can be quite an emotional eater and am finding that reading others stories and tips has really stopped me from reaching for food. So heres to a good result tomorrow. xx

Well on day eight and first weigh in sowed 11lbs!! :DTo say I am delighted would be an understatement :D. This is exactly the boost that i need to carry on. I know that most of that is retained water but it helps lol xx I am going to aim for 1.5 stone in the first 4 weeks which will mean 10 pounds over the next 3 weeks which i think is doable. this will put me well into the 15's (stone that is). The lowest weight I have been on and off for the past 10 years is 15 stone so I will be whooping when I break through that barrier. Dont know when I was this motivated with any eating plan and ive tried them all lol xx Even for my wedding two years ago I couldnt get the weight shifted:(. Anyway no looking back only forward:happy096:

wow what an amazing loss Martine125. you must be buzzing. A big loss always boosts your confidence and gives you the motivation to carry on.

You are definately doing all the right things. Heres to more losses to come:happy096:

Thanks believer another day done and dusted. A bit more water today so feeling a bit bloated but also totm so probably that as well. Good luck on your journey. xx

Well a very disorganised day for me just had my second shake now and way behind with the water. But pleased that I didn't just go and grab something else to eat as would have hated myself afterward. Managed to lock myself out the house and had t go to stepsons work to get a :sigh: key and feeling irritable today so was mad at myself lol x. Calmed down now so making OH's dinner then think will have abit of pamper session for myself. New scales have arrived and will unpack bu try not to weigh until morning and compare as would defo give me a different reading. Hoping I can manage tis weekend with no cheats as going to a friends tomorrow for a few drinks so fingers crossed.

Well i survived the end of the night pizza and kebab!! Smelt lovely though. Did have a few vodkas but stuck to soda water as a mixer and soda water inbetween so hoping hasnt put me back any. New scales in the spare room and they are 2.5 lbs heavier than old ones but as long as the numbers are going down i dont care xx Relaxing just now and will go for a walk with the dog later xx

Wow this is such a motivating diary to read. Especially since my starting weight is roughly where u started and also I love love love wine and cider and beer and drink every saturday night without fail. I hate spirits so I really struggle. You have done amazingly well. I hope I get the same results as u. Keep up the good work xx

You're doing fantastic! No slips ups yet and that weight loss for the first week is amazing!:wow: I hope I do as well as you :)

Thanks Tangerine and Rhino for your supportive comments. I know that I would be kidding myself if I tried to not have a wee drink or two at the weekend. That has always been time to relax for Hubby (when I am not on call)and I and i will admit to being a boring sober person if everyone else is drinking lol xx If I dont deny myself this then i can look forward to it as my wee treat. was a bit worried initially with how I would be with not eating but I think that as long as you listen to your body then you know when to stop :). Good luck to both of you on your Journeys and hope the weight loss goes well for you:). Its definatly a boost to see a large number on the scales when you have several stone to lose, it helps the motivation as it is a couple of stone really that it takes to lose before i can really see the effects. Anyway off now to have my second shake, Strawberry now. Have to go food shopping later as wasnt organised for my online:mad: but have my list at the ready. Hopefully be too busy concentrating on the list items to be aware of all the goodies in the store and will make sure that I have a shake before i go as well. xx

Well a much better day today. Had a rough day yesterday was so craving crisps and chocolate and ended up caving in and had a chunky KItKat:mad::sigh:. Felt really down with myself afterwards and despondant thinking I had ruined all my work over the past 12 days. But dusted myself off this morning and got right back on track. Got to remember that I am only human and not to throw in the towel completely if I slip a bit. That's what has always been my downfall before xx nice long walk with my friend and our dogs coming up after making hubbys dinner x Weigh in tomorrow so would love to hit the stone mark and put me into the 15 stone bracket so fingers crossed x

11lb down is fantastic in your first week and mostly everyone has a few slip ups on a vlcd as it is a tough diet but you are doing very well and good luck with weigh in tomorrow!

Aww a wee chunky kit kat wont do u any harm. Especially if ur just about to go and burn it off when u go out for a walk. I'm looking forward to seeing how u get on tomorrow. Good luck x

Thanks Tangerine and Mini xx Just back from a walk with my pup nearly 8 months now so full of energy. Was out for a good hour and a half so hopefully a few extra ounces burnt off lol xx Relaxing now with a can of coke zero xx

Nothing like a good walk with an energitic puppy to help clear the head and I am sure you must of burnt off a few hundred calories...
