I have 23 month old Twin Girls.
When I was pregnant with them I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes.
Once babies where delivered at 38 weeks.
My Glucose levels went back to normal and they said it could come back.
Well it did,
I didn't feel right last year, and started losing weight for no reason and I had other symptoms, which made me visit my G.p for tests.
It was confirmed I had Type 2 Diabetes needing Medication.
My weight last October 2013 was 22st.8lb ?
And I am now 20st.3lb.
I started Slimming world about 6 weeks ago, to try and loose more weight and to eat healthier really to improve my diabetes and hopefully it will go again.
I have lost 10lb up to now with SW.
I am enjoying their EE plan.
Doesn't feel like a "diet" ?
Weigh in tonight so wish me luck!

So I lost 1.5lb last week making my total 11.5lb and I have 2.5lb to get my Stone award.
Today I have eaten:
2 Weetabix with SS milk
Banana

SW quiche with salad, beetroot, gherkins and coleslaw.
Müllerlight Yogurt

Not planned dinner as yet ? need some inspiration haha

So my weigh in was last night (wed) annnnd
I lost 2.5lb so I got my 1 stone award ???
Very Happy indeed

Thanks Believer xx
Weigh in tonight hope I've gone into the next stone bracket ? I will be dancing in the scales if so haha
Had a weird and exciting past week, got my stone award and a job I applied for and have been busy learning and training to do my new job.
I have been taking little SW Quiches with me and plenty of fruit and mullerlight yogurts.

The ladies who I work with asked if if wanted Fish and Chips bringing in for my lunch, which I said "no thanks I've brought a pack up" I could have had a large haddock (without the batter) and mushy peas but didn't think at the time.
Smelt Devine when they were eating there's haha.
I'll remember next time ? hehe
Fingers and toes crossed for tonight ?

Annnnd another 2lb last night total loss is 18lb so far.
Need to batch cook today, making a lasagne and cutting it I to squares to freeze, also going to be making lots of SW quiches toda!!
That's the plan anyway

Sounds like you are doing great on SW, I am hoping that it will work for me too. I guess I just need to get myself organised as too often I end up throwing meals together at at the last minute x

Yes that's when it's hard.
I think the key is being prepared I really do.
One lady in my group had lost 5 stone in less than a year, and she was saying she cooks all her weekly meals on a Sunday and freezes them.
So she can just grab it, reheat it without having to mess about.
I've been making overnight oats and leaving them to soak in the fridge so they are ready for me in the morning to eat.
And I usually have a ham salad with a sw quiche at work and then find I struggle around dinner.
As I'm too tired to start cooking from scratch.
So today I made a massive SW lasagne and have frozen little portions etc, I'm going to make a beef curry tomorrow and do the same.
Need to plan ahead and get me 5 stone off by Xmas (2lb a week) it can be done ?

I'm sure that you can do 5 stone by Xmas if it works out at 2lb a week. My problem has ALWAYS been that I get to around 1 1/2 stone off and start to feel better about myself and then lose all motivation and the weight creeps back on - nightmare!

You sound soooo organised and I love the thought of having my meals all made and frozen for the week ahead. I tried the Cambridge diet a couple of years ago, only lasted 3 weeks but I LOVED coming home with my box full of shakes/soups/porridges etc. for the week. The thought of not having to think about food and food choices felt so liberating.

With how organised you are, I think that you are going to so make it through your 5 stone! xxx

I wanted to try that diet, but I know I'd be depressed as I love food haha
I've done the slimfast diet with shakes and soups etc and it didn't last.
I've learned that it's all about eating healthy and just making different choices rather than suffering and being hungry on shakes and soups etc
I really don't think the SW plan is a "diet" it just teaches you what you can eat all the time and things you can eat in moderation so I don't feel deprived at all.
If I want chocolate, a meal or take a way I can have it either within my syns or just have it and get over it and start fresh the next day and I still manage to loose, I haven't gained yet!!
I just know this time round I'm gonna do it.
I like the fact the meals are great for all the family too and not just for me, that really helps because I have a 9 year old boy and 2 year old twin girls, and they enjoy the meals I make so I'm happy xxx

Subscribing for inspiration! You're doing so well! I'd like to lose 5-6st before Christmas. I put next august as my goal as I thought I'd never be able to reach it by Christmas this year but so many people on here are showing me that you can! Keep up the fantastic work, hopefully we can cheer each other on

it can be done Kayla at 2lb a week it's 4 stone loss by Xmas and I've already lost 18lb, my 5 stone goal isn't my ideal weight but i would just like to get there and see for myself as I'm 5'8.
We can do this together ?

I'm praying the scales are kind to me this Wednesday as I've had a bit if a blow out this weekend, and just tried to enjoy myself without worrying about FOOD.
So it's Monday today and a new day to get back on it :)

Yea! let's do it together!! You may reach 4st loss and be happy, reach whatever weight is healthy and comfortable for you. If I reach my goal, I may lose a little extra so that I don't have to worry too much over christmas, I can allow for a little gain, that's why I'd aim for 5-6 :) I'm excited!! I really think we can do this!
