Hi everyone I'm Lucie *waves*

I'm 26 from London, I'm a Beauty and Plus size fashion blogger and despite promoting body confidence and embracing my wobbly bits, I've decided not only for myself but for health reasons that I need to shift the wobbly bits.
I'm on my third week ( first week i got weighed which gave me my starting weight and had 2 weigh ins since, So I guess that makes this technically week 4 but I'm going with week 3 on the diet) on Slimming world following the EE Plan, My weigh days are Wednesday evening in a class. My Starting weight was 24st 1lbs. I'm 5'3 and I wanted a thread of my own where I could post my food diary, What I'm eating (( "If you bite it, Write it!")) I think it will be good for me, If I'm being naughty you guys can come smack my wrist, If I've got something wrong and I'm eating like 20 syns instead of the 10 I think I'm eating etc. Basically I want to document it all as lets face it, I have a long way to go, But I'm determined and realise its going to take time, Slow and steady wins the race.


So before I start get to the stats and weigh-ins etc, Here are a couple pictures of me which are recent ( the bottom 3 are about 4 months ago ) I do indeed have purple hair now :p But I felt they gave an accurate view of my shape and size.. Also if I'm honest I look huge in them, Especially the one where I'm interviewing Liz Mcclarnon. It makes me feel embarrassed which is exactly why its up here. To remind me of why I'm doing this. Because I don't want to look like THAT. :)

Week 1 - 23 stone 8 lbs ( -7 lbs ) :D
week 2 - 23 stone 7.5 lbs (-0.5lbs) - Star week

Welcome!! 7lbs in your first week is awesome well done! The banter on here is really good and I agree - writing what you eat defo prevents me grazing so much. Never realised how many calories I ate just snacking!!!

Thursday 31st


2X Alpen Light

Morning snack -Green tea infused with apple & Pear ( trying to help flush out my water build up as its star week )
Breakfast- Fruit Salad: Raspberries, Blackberries, Strawberries and 2 satsumas with a Strawberry and Cranberry Muller Light Smooth.

Lunch - Dairylea light 2X triangles (2.5 SYNS), 6 melba toast (3 SYNS), 2X Alpen Light (HEB)

Dinner - Mini Pizzas: Weight Watchers Thick Brown Bread x 3 slices (9 SYNS) Tomato puree, a sprinkle of mixed herbs, mushrooms, bacon (with fat trimmed off), and 3 slices of WeightWatchers cheese slices (( each slice is 20g so used 60g cheese, using 30g of this as my HEA so only need to syn 30g of it, 43kcal each so 64.5*20=(3.2 SYNS)

Total syns = 17.7/25 ( I get more syns as I weigh more, As I lose weight my syn count will lower also )

Hi sweetie :D Thanks so much! Yeah I was dead chuffed! A few more big ones to get the ball rolling and then a steady few pounds each week and I'd be a happy happy girl :)

I do love me some banter so hoping to meet some like minded fabulous people on here and it will help encourage me even more :) - Writing it down helps loads, even as a comparison, If I get strapped for idea's and having a lul, I can pop back to a week I had a good loss and have a peek through what I ate and follow it again! Plus like you said, I'm less likely to cheat and more likely to be more aware when I actually have to sit down and write what I'm eating and how much the syns are etc.

Aww Thanks so much! :D It's been a huge help so far, I often get a bit OCD NAZI about my diets as I'm planning and writing bits down and It's so great as I'm in front of my comp most of the time I can track it all on here in my own lil thread with all the support and other peoples threads around me. I feel in great company with you all :) xx

Friday - 1st Aug

Last nights mini pizzas were surprisingly So yummy and super light. Yet I've only started feeling hungry today around 11.30. So figured I'd save the fruit I have for breakfast to have later and opted for my sandwhich I made last night - Yes, it was a little soggy. NO i wont be making them the night before again :p

Lunch - 2X WM bread (6 SYNS) 2Xtbsp salad cream (5 SYNS) lettuce, 1 1/2 X WW slice cheese (HEXA) Ham and Tomato. Also had an Alpen Light bar (1/2 HEXB) and tried twinings lemon and ginger herbal tea which wasn't as " tastes like compost " flavored as the others so was happier to sip this instead of my usual tea 2 sugars.

ohh my gosh the sarnie tasted Delicious!!!

Dinner - I've got out some chicken fillets and we have a bag of stir fry vegetables so I'll do those with the chicken in some Blue Dragoin Hoisin and garlic sauce, I'm going halfs with the boyf so only (4 SYNS ) and some rice.

So far that's 15 Syns that I've had or accounted for, I still have the other alpen light bar and my Rasberries,blackberries and straberries if I fancy a nibble later as dinner wont be till I get home around 8.30pm ish.

I'm Feeling pretty in control, Feeling organized and importantly, I'm not feeling hungry. Feeling poor because I'm spending alot of money on food like fresh fruit and salad but, I its a price ( literally ) I'm willing to pay.

I just had a look and re-uploaded, Hopefully you can see it now, lol I thought it looked good anyway :p

OMG the lil pizza's were so good. They tasted pretty naughty for something thats not actually that naughty. I think I'm going to try using a wholemeal wrap next time and using some passata sauce with some puree and go through the book and see what cheese I get more of, off the top of my head I know cheddar is 30g but mozzarella might be more so i'd use that on the pizza as HEA etc :D mixed herbs were a deffo nice touch on it too. Going to try a bit of fennel or garlic in there next time too :) OM NOM :) x
 
Hi, well done on your weight loss so far. I don't know anything the SW diet but the food looks fab. :) and i have no problem slapping you on the wrist ;) lol

I can see it now, looks gorgeous! Halloumi cheese is also a hexa if you like that, I've never had it but it's raved about so much on here! xx

So dinner isn't going to be using the Chinese sauce, I just opted for a stir fry risotto using some. Chicken stock and soy sauce. Less syns anddddddd going to feel more filling.

Hi Lovely :D Thanks for the encouraging words! I do feel good and I've still very much got that " positive vibe" that you have when you start a diet and my aim is to make it last every day and just keep going. I know it's not going to all come off in a year or so, So i need to prepare myself for the ups and downs and the 1 step backwards 2 steps forwards weeks, but at the moment, I'm looking forward to the larger losses that we sometimes have at the start of the diet, If I can shift another 6 1/2 lbs in the next 2 weeks that will be a stone and thats my mini goal atm. I think just every stone and half stone. Do you have a blog or thread I can follow and support you on hun? xx
 
Morning everyone! WOOOO :D

So last nights chicken stirfry risotto was a huge success! The Blue Dragoin Hoisin and garlic sauce I was going to use was 8 syns so 4 syns for my portion and instead I used the chicken stock which is less than 1SYN mixed with some soy sauce and it had loads of veg in aswell as chicken so all in all, A better version for dinner so thats certainly one for the dinner menu again :)


Today's Menu is :

Breakfast - The last of the strawberries and raspberries with a fruitopolis yougurt (
1/2 Syn) I've got my 1L bottle of water that I'm going to try and have today so do say half this morning and half with my lunch, and treat myself to a diet pepsi in the afternoon. = 1/2 SYN

Lunch - I enjoyed my sandwich I had yesterday so much I decided to make 2 to have today as a sort of 1pm and 4pm type of food. For both of the sandwiches together its 4 X WW thick brown bread
Using 2 slices as my HEB (other 2 slices are 6 SYNS) ham, 1 Slice of WW Cheese which is 20g and a small bit of butter to use as my HEA, Lettuce and 2 tbsp of Salad Cream (5 SYNS) and tomato. =11 SYNS

Just noticed that these Alpen bars arent light. Crap. lol These ones are 5 syns..she says while halfway through eating it as a breakfast snack before the fruit. I'll end up having another one later so 2Xalpen NORMAL bars (
10syns) Luckily I only have half a box left so can let the boyf eat those and I'll pick up some alpen light as they are only 3.5 which I might aswell syn rather then the 5 :) = 10 syns

So I'm going to go ahead and assume before dinner I'd of already consumed 21.5 syns out of my 25 so this evening I think what with my friend Nicole coming over we will have something light and have a lovely pamper evening, Pedicures, face masks etc and then Sunday go for a nice long swim and come back and have a SW approved fry up :D CHA CHING :D
