    Today is day 1 of my mission to lose 6st12lb, a little bit about me, I'm 28, recently had baby Maisie, well she's actually 4 months old now! Only seems 5 minutes ago though.

    I had a difficult pregnancy due to sciatica which I think one of the main causes was the extra weight I was already carrying & I ended up with an emergency caesarian... Me & my hubby have always said we would like to have 2 children & I am determined that by next time (not for a few years) I will be a healthy BMI.

    I have always struggled with my weight & have been dieting since I was around 14 years old!! When I went to university at 18 I was quite happy with my weight I think I was about 11 stone and was a size 12 in clothes but after uni by the age of 23 I was at my heaviest (or so I thought at the time) weighing around 14/15 stone.

    When I finished uni I moved back in with my parents for a year and worked really hard exercising & calorie counting to get back down to just over 12 stone. But then I met my husband and we moved in together, and before I knew it 3 years later I had piled the weight back on and again was hovering just below 16 stone.

    Then when I got pregnant I piled on another 3 stone and was nearly 19 stone at 38 weeks pregnant!! Luckily 4 months later and I have managed to lose 2 stone of that and am now at 16st12lbs.

    My first goal is to lose the 12lbs of baby weight and then hopefully go on to lose the 6st to get to a healthy BMI for my height (5"3) of 10 stone. Sorry really waffley first diary entry, they won't all be like this honest!

    I am not a big fan of set diets so I am just going to be calorie counting and trying to do as much exercises as I can (with a 4 month old to occupy) with a minimum of a 30 min walk every day and I will be using my fitness pal & map my walk to track my calories & exercise.

    Day 7 Thought I best write here today, as I have had a bad evening & need to try and not completely come off the rails .... It's only day 3 I am so useless!

    Did well today until tea time when I had a full ristorante pizza (814 calories) & chips (god knows how many calories) then to top it off I had a nobbly bobbly :,( wish I hadn't now!!!

    It all went wrong as I had planned pizza today as it's aqua aerobics day, I usually go with my mum & sister but they both bailed today & I didn't want to go on my own so I missed that (went for a big walk instead to try & make up for it) but I just felt less motivated because of missing the aqua aerobics coz my plan had gone out the window, no excuse I know!

    On the plus side today is weigh in day & I lost 3lb despite the fact that I ate loads thurs, fri last week before my diet started...

    Onwards & upwards.....

Was just under 12 stone at full term pregnancy. After I had my baby goose the weight just piled on. Back on it for round 2 and this time I WILL MAINTAIN

    I would really struggle to lose weight if I didn't work. I am appalling on the weekends! Normally my calorie intake is like 2500-3000 on satruday (often without even getting a take away!!)

    I have lots of respect for you guys having the self discipline to do it.

    I have been an angel this week - if I do not get at least 2lb lost next week I will scream!!!! haahhah

    It is!! Im sitting here dreaming of all the things i want to eat. Best thing when your at home is jut not to have it in the house. If its a 5 second journey to get it ... Its really hard. If you are desparate for it thsn you will go out n get it and thsn u know y reallyyyy wanted it abd wernt just stuffing your face mindlessly. Im the queen of thst lol!!

    That sounds like a good idea to be honest, I get so hungry between meals coz when your up between 5 and 6am it seems like forever till lunchtime... But I have tried to go for some healthyish things (not fruit I just can't get full on fruit) rice crispy squares for eg, probably awful sugar wise but Im just starting out so maybe eventually fruit will work lol! Xx

    I weigh in on wednesday in the gym (dressed but no food eaten). Two days down, 5 to go! I am dreaming of those 3lbs!!

    10st6lbs (146 Pounds)
    June Weight loss - (3 Pounds) - but birthday and operation with 2 week recovery
    July Weight loss - (5 Pounds)
    August Weight loss - (5 Pounds)
    September Weight loss - (5 Pounds)
    October Weight loss - (STS - I reckon, time delay from Asia holiday (as in the weight didn't show up the day I landed, but the week after. A 5 day trip to NY. And undeniable overeating on the weekend which I'm now getting under control).
    November Weight loss - (3 Pounds) and into the 8s - BOOM!!!!

    11/12 - 9st 2 - URGH - 3lb gain - not unexpected at all after 4 nights out and 4 days in France. Aiming for 2lbs off next week. We'll see! haha
