Hi there,

Wanted to start this to keep a log of what I eat to keep me on track and motivated. I'm in my 20s and recently got married, at my heaviest I weighed 20st10lbs. I managed to lose 4 stone before the wedding by calorie counting at 1200 cals a day. This probably was too low and I often fell off the wagon. I put on a stone on honeymoon (in Vegas so lots of burgers, cocktails and cake!) and on my return, I decided to start slimming world as I want to lose weight to try for a baby and feel this is a sustainable way of eating for that and the rest of my life.

I'm doing the plan at home on my own so find minimins a really useful place full of help and support!

:)

That's a lovely thing to say Daisy, thank you!! Not feeling particularly gorgeous right now! Long long week on this bloody detox :-(

I love vegas - been there on a few girls holidays.... this was how the eating generally went:

- Roll out of bed at 11am in time for the all you can eat breakfast buffet
- Pool party all afternoon - bloody mary / champagne / chips in that order
- Early evening nap, dress for dinner, ravenous - top notch restaurants - 2-3 courses
- Massive boozing in Tryst and XS, McDonalds 3.30am on the way back to the hotel room

Repeat Repeat Repeat

I'm not surprised you put on a stone!!

Haha our time in Vegas went in a pretty similar pattern with romantic 2 course lunches and 3 course dinners with plenty of cocktails and gin...then often a slice of pizza or cake before heading to bed. We were there 2 weeks so averaged a pound a day, even with all the walking!

What is your detox and how is it going? You got much longer to go?

Today was like this:

Breakfast: Bacon and egg sandwich (HE and 5 syns for the extra bread)
Lunch: Banana, satsumas, apple
Dinner: I visited my Mum today who made meat and potato pie with carrots, broccoli, green beans - I didn't eat the pie pastry though (5 syns gravy)
Supper: Pasta in sauce sachet - try not to eat these too often but I always struggle on a Saturday night.

Total syns: 10

Me too always hungry on a Saturday night.

The detox is called the forever living clean 9 - basically it's a 9 day detox and one of the side affects of that is weight loss.

Days 1 & 2 - aloe gel, supplements and 1 shake at lunch with your choice of milk (almond, skimmed cows, coconut) - basically 200 calories per day. This was incredibly tough

Days 3 & 9 - exactly the same as days 1 & 2 but add in a second breakfast shake and a healthy 600 calorie dinner - so around 1000 calories per day

I have stuck to it religiously except today where I've had 300 calories of extra snacks - all healthy.

I'm not too worried as logically 300 cals is less than 10% of 1lb and I've exercised like a legend this week!! Will try and stick to the 1000 calorie limit tomorrow and Monday and Tuesday is my easy for me as at work. Nearly there ;-)

Good luck. I'm relatively new to this site. Did join back in 2008 but as usual didn't stick to the diet and now, 6 years later I find myself back here agin, however over 2 stone less than I was then! I find other peoples stories really motivating :)

Soundalike you did really well Hun x x

Wow! Well done Blondcat! The detox sounds a tough one but I be you'll see amazing results. I imagine detoxing feels like a fresh start and reignites your motivation.

Welcome Gibs! I find other people's stories and diaries really motivate me too. Have you started a diary?
