My 2015 diary

Hi everyone,

I loved this site a few years ago, listening to other stories and achievements, so I thought I'd bring myself back and hit it again.

I'm useless at doing things on my own, so having the support and general chat here is brilliant for me, and keeps me inspired. I've updated my blog with my life story (haha!) and hopefully I will manage to achieve my goals this time. It's make or break. 29 in March and I really want to be down to my target weight by the time I'm 30. Possible? Well it's 5 stone, but if I change my mindset then I know I can do it - I've done it before!

So here it begins. January 8th and this is the start...well actually I started on the 7th, but it's now 1am. My targets are below, and this is how I plan to ditch my flab:

I am kickstarting my loss by spending the first week cutting out a lot of the processed foods I've been scoffing. I'm turning to wholemeal bread, skimmed milk and cutting out chocolate, crisps and complex carbs. I'm also taking Chocolate Banana pills too - these are AMAZING! They really helped me when I lost my weight before.

For the following couple of weeks, it'll be shakes for breakfast and lunch with snacks of fruit and nuts and a small dinner - this is what I need to concentrate on. My man eats huge portions and manages to keep at a steady weight, so when he goes back to work (he's in the forces so is home 2 weeks in every 6) I continue with the huge amounts of food made, then rather than waste it, i'll pile it on my plate and eat as much as I can before I feel sick. I hate waste, I just need to get into the frame of mind to make less.

I am a member of the gym, I'm attempting to go 4 times a week, full cardio, weights and toning for 2 hours a time, and then swim for 30 mins after each session. I have no excuse as I work on a rota of 4 days on 4 days off, so I have PLENTY of time to do it. I will also take CLA tablets twice a day, and if I have a "cheat" day where it's a friends birthday or a special occasion, I have carb blockers too.

So, today's diary entry reads as follows:

I started pretty well, I had a raspberry activia yoghurt and a cup of tea for breakfast, then a slice of wholemeal toast and 2 poached eggs for lunch. My afternoon snack was a clementine and an apple and I had pasta with homemade tomato sauce and chicken breast for my dinner. I didn't go to the gym today as it was my rest day - I'd been Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Back tomorrow though! Sorry to bore you with the food diary but I need to be honest and open with myself, and the best way is to write it down for me to read back. (plus if it's horrendously bad I will feel fat and will make up for it the next day at the gym!)

All measurements have been written down, and I am going to take a picture of myself once a week in the same pose to be able to *hopefully* see the difference in a couple of months.

Looking forward to giving and receiving support from you all.

xx

It's amazing that 8 days in to January and it seems that the majority of people have given up on their resolutions to get fit. My gym has been completely empty this week. Not that I'm complaining, it's nice to have the pool to myself and be able to go on the machines without waiting hope everyone is doing OK x

Thanks lovely. Which diet are toy following? X
