90 Day SSS Plan

Right! Here I am. Starting a new/different journey with my weight loss and getting myself feeling bikini fabulous.

I've decided to sign up to Joe Wick's 90 day SSS plan, part of cycle 1 in the plan is 4-5 sessions a week of HIIT (High Intensity Interval training) and he recommends not doing any other exercise, lifting etc along this to start with. Therefore! I decided I would start the day after my half marathon, when I can relax a little with the running training and focus on getting myself bikini ready for the summer months.

I've received my pack, so the past week or so I've been meal planning and on Monday morning, I will need to take my measurements, weigh myself (DREADING as I've turned into a chocaholic just recently) and take my before photo's (CRINGE).

I'm hoping this means that in 5 weeks time, I'll be looking and feeling a lot better.

I've bought all my supplements and protein that Joe recommends, these aren't essential, but I figured if I'm going to do it, I want to do it properly. And I've bought a few bits that I wouldn't usually have to spread the cost out, such as coconut oil, chia seeds, low carb noodles.

Joe also recommends, prepping everything as much as you can. So this weekend, with the help of my mum, I'm going to cook and portion out the majority of my lunches and a couple of evening meals to make sure I'm fully prepared and I cannot go wrong!

Here to sub. You'll be bikini ready in no time!

Is there a nice variety in the meals Jen? I hope it's not so strict that you'd get bored easily? x

Hey I've emailed you xx

I think there is plenty of variety in the menu for me. Although I am the type of person that could eat spag bol every night of the week and be quite happy. I tried a couple of things off the recipes already and they are pretty tasty!! I think once I get to week 4 I'll start to get a little bored, but then I'll have cycle 2 on its way with a complete new list of meals and a bit more variance/flexibility.

Hi lovely, here to subscribe. Interested to see what your new plan entails and how you get on with it. Good luck for the marathon Sunday and for starting the 90daySSS Monday :) xxx

Thanks hun!!

Wednesday! Half way there. And officially only 4 more sleeps until the half marathon, although the weather forecast for Blackpool is especially windy on Sunday... with some rain. Should be fun!!!

Fingers crossed for good weather for you!

Not holding out too much hope with blackpool, i think we will more than likely get battered by the wind lol

I'm so interested to see how you on with this and what kind of things you get to eat! The before and after photos he does on IG are so impressive that it's made me a little sceptical so I can't wait to see how you get on and true the hype is :)

Haha, I know! I'm exactly the same, but looking at the plan and working out macronutrients etc I can see how it would work. I'm a little bit scared of the strictness, but I keep reminding myself its the first cycle thats the strictest and it's only 4 weeks. If I can look like some of those transformation photos after 4 weeks I'll be very impressed!!!!

Definitely! I really hope it works for you Jen. I want to believe those photos it just seems too good to be true!!!! Will you be posting your food as you go along?

I will be doing food diaries each day, but going to write everything up at the end of the day so I can give it marks out of 10 etc.

I'm starting the plan Monday. So yesterday I spent a bit of time getting a few bits that I needed.
Golden flax meal.
Dessicated coconut.
These two are for one of the breakfasts I'm planning which is the closest to my porridge that I could find in my plan, besides a recipe for creamy overnight oats for after a HIIT session.

1kg lean mince.
Chicken breasts.
I already have come almonds, peanut butter and all my supplements and protein. I'll probably get a different flavour protein shake though to add a bit of variety in.

Part of the plan is the 4-5 HIIT sessions a week, he recommends doing them in the morning before breakfast if you can but mid-week I doubt I'll have time at the moment, especially with having to start work earlier than usual at the moment due to lack of staff. My plan is to do 2 morning HIITs at the weekend and evening HIIT sessions during the week. I am also going to use my Monday night track running session as one of my HIITs. Hopefully this will work out ok, but I want to keep up my running alongside this programme.
