    My Lipotrim journey

First weigh in this morning after my first week. Only lost 6lbs (which I understand is a lot of weight and prob 3-6 weeks of weight watchers) I am terribly disappointed and like a big dope had a cry in front of the girl in the pharmacy. Sigh... I was really hoping for 8+lbs... She went through everything with me and I'm doing everything right and there are no other obvious factors for why I didn't lose more... So disheartened

Noooooooo!!! Stop!! You lost nearly half a stone. There's a load of other things that affect weight loss. Time of the month can add pounds (a lot if you're heavy), different clothes a pound or two different, water consumption, tiredness (as that can affect water retention).

But even so you know that when people post 10lbs weekly weightloss they haven't actually lost 10lbs of fat. You would need a deficit of 35000 calories to do that. Impossible.

You might have less water retention compared to others.

I know I'm being really bossy but you have to think about how you'll feel if you have a STS week or only lose a pound. And there will definitely be those weeks. The human body does not follow a perfectly correlated path between weightloss on the scales and what you've consumed.

So please be happy about your 6 pounds. This is only the start ;-)

You're not being bossy but incredibly kind, thank you. I guess everybody is different and when you expect and read about the 10lbs plus it's hard to accept it when you stand on the dreaded scales. I haven't given up hope, I'm in ketosis, not hungry and still determined.

Was just wondering the sweeteners that you can add to shakes.. Are all tablet forms ok? It struck me earlier that perhaps that was what I've been doing wrong.. They are not a known brand just one from lidl? It says there is 0.1g of carbs in each tablet. Any help would be great.

I'm not a lipotrim expert but I am a mathematician and as far as I know to get into ketosis your net carbs have to be around 20g a day max. If I have the 20g right (I'm sure I recall that from Atkins) then 0.1g of any variety is hardly going to make a dent in the limit.

You haven't been doing anything wrong!! I think you probably had less crap in your body than other people so loss less fake water weight.

Did you have a massive binge before you started?

No not particularly.. High in protein and low in carbs. I've been tryin to lose weight since Jan and couldn't shift an ounce.. Have a 4 mth old baby so my sleep is interrupted and I've a fairly sedentary life these days. I'm 14st 3 now I have as much to lose as anyone.

There you go. I would absolutely guarantee you that 90% of people (at least) starting a hardcore plan like LT have a monumental binge immediately before starting on a Monday (that old cliche!). To give you an idea - I'm just over 9 and a half stone. After a bingy weekend I can put on 5 pounds between Friday and Monday. I lose all 5lbs by weds if I do a fast day. You didn't have that binge so didn't have that insane crap and water weight to lose.

If you've been eating lowing carb for a while you'd already have got rid of a lot of that fake excess weight that people lose in first few days.

I am 100% convinced that is it xx

The fact you're doing this with such a small person to look after i think is amazing. Well done you, you should feel really proud losing that half a stone and getting on the case. If you can keep positive I think you'll do really well xx

    Not feeling tiny! Haha

18months ago i was 12 stone. I year ago this week i was 11st 5 and on my birthday in June last year I was 10st 6. Got down to 8st 13 - 9st 2 in August where I stayed for 3 months. Put on a stone partying over 7 weeks (nov to January), I was out nearly every night. And have just been messing around this year maintaining - although lost a few pounds. But started a major push on Monday to nail this. I want to get back to where I was early November maybe a lower weight. I think mid 8s is going to be about right.

At least I know maintenance isn't an issue!!!
