Because you can read this, thank a teacher. Because it's in English, thank a soldier.
unofficially people tend to stick dell keyboards in the dishwasher... but i wouldn't recommend soaking it unless it's a last resort.
ps. i didn't say that... it is not sound advice... but it has worked for a significant number of people.
best to grab one for a tenner...

???? Really abz, you amaze me. I just throw them away.

ha. apparently so jim. i have to admit i have drained tea out of dell keyboards and given them a rinse before... not getting the cable wet. have never tried the dishwasher theory personally but have heard it's sound. of course it could be complete urban myth, but if you're going to throw it away anyway...
abz xx

I've got some old dell keyboards here abz, I'll give it a try tomorrow.

i'm guessing you just bung it all in. like i said. it could be complete and utter myth. but it's what i've heard... and if they are broken due to sticky key syndrome then why not try it?
let us know if it works jim
abz xx
and please don't blame me if they never work again!! totally untested theory!!
i have just been reading up on it. some people recommend taking it apart and just washing the key bit, although that won't solve a lot of spillage. some recommend bunging the whole thing in. but the main issue seems to be making sure it is totally dry before plugging it back in again

:O Glenbo? Who be this Glenbo? Howdy!
Abz, Jim, guys...it's a laptop - there's nothing you could say to me that would convince me to stick my entire inspiron in the dishwasher
The sticky key thing abz, they're not sticking per se, as in, I can't feel them sticking. But I suppose they are cos the arrow keys seem to be permanently fighting their wicked way with each other. It's damn annoying...
Well, day one has gone well im pleased to announce! Apart from no walk due to heavy rain then snow.. Polished off 2 litres of water, ate one small portion of dinner (salmon) had, hmmm, 4 pieces of fruit probably adding up to the same number of cals as just one chocolate lol! I will now go upstairs with a hot drink, do some exercises and get into bed![]()
1 day at a time...

NO - I definitely wouldn't put the laptop in the dishwasher. Don't really know what you can do though except hang fire and hope it sorts itself out again.
Sounds like you're back in the zone food wise so that's good. My second birthday in just over a week will probably wreck this week's weigh in for me and then I'm off to Cornwall for a week where the guinness monster lies in wait to get me!
