Chinese takeaway - points values

My OH went out for chinese takeaway for his dinner tonight so I had a look in the eating out booklet for points values for me. Thing is, the points seemed really really low, so I wasn't sure how it was pointed (ie, for the whole portion or for part?), does anyone know?

I really wanted Singapore Rice Noodles and according to the eating out book they are only 5.5 points 'per portion'!! But what is the portion size...the whole thing?!

I believe the portion is per serving. I was surprised at how low some things are too. Thats why I have Chinese as my treat

I was hoping you'd post a reply Starlight, as I know you have chinese as a treat at the weekends...and I can now see why!

So, am I right in thinking that you believe the points in the eating out guide to be for the whole tub of food? If so then I am a very very very happy girl!

Goal Date: 2012
Marie sorry I took so long to reply but I was at my parents last night and not online a lot. It says in the WW Eating out book that many chinese dishes are low in fat.

When I was going to WW classes I asked the leader about it and she assured me that a portion was as youd expect - the whole thing. ie Spare Ribs portion the whole lot you get in the long take away tray.

Thats why I have Chinese, I actually stay within my points but it feels like SO much. Last week I actually had Ribs AND chicken fried rice

So keep Chinese in mind if youre struggling and hubby wants a take away - its so much better than Indian or Pizza

It says in the Eating out guide that prawn chow mein is 5.5 points but its listed here as 3.5, does anyone know which is correct? Im gonna have it tonight yum yum xxx
