    curry sauce recipe anyone?

    hey everyone

    anyone have a low point recipe for curry sauce? i want to make curry sauce and onions for over chips yummmmm

    I dont make my own curry sauce, but if you like chinese curry sauce Mayflower do a fab chinese curry sauce mix and its low it fat/points too.

    I get mine from the local costcutter, I know they sell it in Spar not sure about the big supermarkets though, I've never seen it in any of them.

    Don't know any recipes I'm afraid, not a big curry sauce fan
    all about the chips , cheese and mayo for me !!! (which i have not had since been on WW.... hangovers are just not the same anymore lol)
    BUT dunno how keen you are on making it, but Asda instant sachet stuff is only 1 point per 1/2 sachet? dunno if it's even tasty but it's the best i can offer :P

    try boliing some veg is stock for 10 mins - green beans, cauli, onion, pepper, mush rooms and drain and stir through some madras curry paste and a tin of tomatoes. 60 g rice and only 4 points

    Asda smart price mild curry sauce in a jar is like chip shop curry sauce and is 3 points for half a jar, it's about 6p I think!!HTH

    BMI Information:
    Low Point Curry

    3 x Cloves Garlic
    Ginger
    Small Chilli
    Onions
    Carrots
    Mushrooms
    Chopped Butternut Squash finely chopped and roasted in oven until tender.
    3 x Tomatoes
    Curry Powder
    Cumin
    Chicken Stock Cube.
    Fat Free Yogurt, discovered Onken Fat Free Yogurt, it is divine – thick and creamy and not bitter
    (Add whatever veg you like really - brocolli, Cauli, Peppers etc)

    1.Blend Garlic, Chilli and Ginger together
    2. Sweat onions in spray oil, add the blended garlic, chilli and ginger
    3. At 4 tsps of Medium Curry Powder and 1 tsp of Cumin.
    4.In a separate pan, sweat off the mushrooms, add to the onion mix.
    5. Add the carrots and roasted butternut squash
    6.Remove the skin of 3 tomatoes, blend and add.
    6.Add a little water and chicken stock cube
    7.Simmer for approx 20mins or until carrots are tender.
    8. Add 3 tablespoons of Fat Free Yogurt.
    9. Serve with Brown Rice or Naan.

    This is a veg version, but chicken, beef or prawns could be added.

    The only points in the curry are in the yogurt J

    It is a SW recipe but could be modified if required.

    Pete’s Mushy Pea Curry

    Serves 4
    Syn Free on EE
    Ingredients
    1 300g Tin of mushy peas
    1 400g chopped tomatoes
    1 onion, chopped finely
    2 Tbsp. of garam masala
    1 Tbsp. of curry powder
    1 Tsp paprika
    1 Tbsp. sweetener
    Method
    Cook the onion in a pan sprayed with fry Light until transparent

    Add garam masala, curry powder & paprika, stir continuously for a few minutes until the onions are coated.
    Add the mushy peas, tomatoes and cook for 15 mins until it thickens.

    Allow to cool then blitz with a hand blender.

    When reheating add 100mL per person of hot water and bring to the boil, then turn to simmer.

    Add chicken to the sauce or use it as a general sauce.

    (I had chicken & chips)
