Hiya pjames580, this is the discover board hun, we're following the old ww points system so I'm not totally sure how to work out how many pro points you need to be on. Someone might be along in a bit who does know, or you might want to ask on the general ww board (go back a step to the main weight watchers boards list and scroll down. I think there is a 'how many pro points should I be on' thread there already.

Saying all that though, feel free to stay on here and chat :) how much are you going to lose? Is annoying when you can't get on to pay when you've made up your mind to actually do something!

:) I'm hoping to lose a stone an a half and have set my self a goal of 3 months - I wonder if that's unrealistic?! I'm really annoyed with the online system at the mon but with two young children and a full time job it's just not possible to go to the meetings :-/ how much ate you hoping to lose? How long have you been going to we for?

I'm currently at 12 1/2st and want to get down to 11 at first and then see how I feel. To be inside my 'healthy' BMI I'm supposed to be at least 10.2 but I've been there before and look a bit odd I think (kind of scrawny in some places and still plump in others (thighs!)). I don't go to meetings as I'm vintage and the new one is propoints, but I know the programme so well I don't really need the meetings for info, just for support which I get on here! :D I'm on about week 5 since I got focus back again, though I do seem to be wobbling a little these last couple of days, dunno why!? (actually I do, it's birthday cake!)

So are you starting today? Do you have any info at all? Have you managed to register yet?

Wow! You seem to be a real pro! I'm starting today - I have an article from the daily mail about some of the food pro points values and until I know my points I'm going to stick with fairly low point foods - I know one of my problems is portion size so i've just been out and bought a smaller dinner plate!!

Still no joy! I'm finding the values of things by using google but still don't know how many I should be on! Just been out and bought myself a new smaller dinner plate to make sure I don't eat too much!

Hi Pjames, I've just found my old info booklet but it doesn't tell you how to work out your points but it does have loads of info on the basics and a cardboard calculator so let me know if I can help. I see on another thread that you have 26 or 29 :/ per day plus your 49 weeklies. I think I would go with 26 until anyone confirms for sure. It's hard to catch up but extras are always welcome. Have you ever done ww before?

Wonder why you've lost messages?

Probably my iPhone freezing!bThanks for the tip I'll start with 26. Yes I have done ww before but nearly ten years ago...I know it works... Just got to get in the zone!

Birthday cake will do that to you! I always feel a little of what you fancy can be a good thing... If you deprive yourself you it want it all the more!! ( I just have to remember only to have a little rather than a lot!!!)

Good luck :) I've only been on one induction, everything tested was awful, weight, fitness, strength, cardio ability etc. except for flexibility which was outstanding :D Thank goodness for my bendability, a shining light in an otherwise very gloomy assessment!

Hope you don't mind me jumping in but just to let you know that your allowance is 26pp per day and then 49pp weekly allowance (this is assuming you are female). Also if you have an android or iphone you can buy an app called ultimate diary (I think), doesn't cost much and its near enough the same as the ww app you get if you join online.

Good luck,
Dan x

Ooo! Thanks for that Dan I'll have a look at that app - thinking I will divide my weeklies across the week which, if I add to my 26 would put me on 33...dies that sound about right?

Yep that sounds right :) as 26pp is the minimum you can have you're points won't go down either. If you get the ww mag they normally do a weeks menu plan on 26pp to give you some ideas of the type of food you can eat to make your points last. Plus don't forget that fruit has 0pp and most veg/ salad except things like potato, sweetcorn, peas etc (starchy veg).

Good luck,
Dan x
