Eating all you points.... should you? Shouldnt you?

WW is such a different diet to a lot, well most others, NOTHING is offlimits to us be it chocolate, take away, crisps or whatever - so long as its pointed and within your limits.

Sometimes, ok a lot of the times, its hard to get your head round the fact that eating that bar of chocolate ISNT going to ruin your weeks wi results, and eating that bag of crisps or having that takeaway is fine. I think most of us still have a mindset that 'bad' food is a no no and feel guilty.

The other thing Ive noticed more and more is people almost being scared to use their points, theres a common misconception that the less you eat the more weight you lose. Yes to a degree thats true, but like most diets, WW is carefully planned and structured and your points allowance is set for a reason. Whatever your points allowance is you HAVE to have them. You can bank NO MORE than 4 a day, but if you do bank them, theyre meant to be used by the end of the week. Eating way under your points, tempting though it can be at times, is totally counter productive. It WONT speed your weight loss up, in fact itll slow it down.

Resist the urge to cut back your points, have that extra bar of chocolate, or sandwich or what ever itll take to get your points up to where they should be.

Remember the beauty of WW is being able to eat what you want, when you want - enjoy it

Hmmm that wasnt meant to sound like a lecture

    Diet: Weight Watchers... woop woop
    Yep I totally agree!
The best thing about WW is that you can carry it on afterwards - it's not some fad diet that you stop as soon as you get to goal - it's realistic to follow forever!!
I lost 2st when I was 15 and kept it off untill I was 18 and found alcohol and take aways at uni! :-) So I know its easy to maintain too - well as easy as maintaining your weight goes!!
I never have problems eating all my points - mainly because of my lard arse portions I eat but hopefully it'll work for me again - we'll see on my Wednesday WI!

**PS - sorry for babbling on and turning everyone's threads into all about ME ME ME! :-) I could have just said yep I totally agree! Hehe! Will try not to babble so much in future threads - here I go again....**

    I love WW! x

Thanks for the "lecture" Sandy - its just what I needed.

Its not that I'm scared to eat them I just save a few for an evening snack and end up falling asleep before Ive had my munchies.

I'm determined to eat all 21 of my points today. Only another 6 to go!!!

Sounds like a plan! Lol! And exactly why ww is so great, because joking aside, you really could do that and have a drunken night out - guilt free!

My personal downfall is pizza so if I managed to save 4pts a day then they would almost definitely be used on pizza at the weekend

Theres no harm at all in saving 4 a day between now and then, just dont save more than that and be sure use them up before the end of your week

Lol, I always eat more than my OH too, if there's some left then I just have to keep eating until it's gone - even when it means I'm so stuffed I can't move afterwards, haha! They are fatty, but they are sooooooooooooooo worth it
