    The Trials & tribulations of a weight watcher

    Hi i have been following s/w the last few months and have lost 2 stone, i am unable to go to the s/w class any longer so am changing to a w/w group i am joining tomorrow night i will be resetting my target i hope to make as many "friends" on here as i have on the s/w thread xx

    have just come back from w/w class got to go through my books now as i had to leave class early to pick DD3 up from work. for a couple of days will use the w/w meals and bulk them out with loads of veg.

    26 pp

    breakfast- 2 weetabix with blueberries and skimmed milk from 1/2 pt allowance (6 pp)

    lunch- 2 slices w/w bread,slice w/w cheese, lettuce, onion & tomato. tin w/w soup w/w caramel wafer (7 pp)

    dinner- 2 w/w sausages, green beans,carrots & brocolli, 150g new pots, 2 tbs brown sauce (7 pp)

    snacks- apple, pear, latte, w/w layered fromage frais w/w rich toffee bar (6 pp)
    total pp = 26
    49 weekly pp - 7 = 42 left
    ( 1/2 pint semi skimmed milk 4, 3 tsp cocoa powder 3)

    Have just made some fruity oat fingers ( have yet to try)
    90g oats
    2 ripe bananas
    2 eating apples grated
    3 tbls sweetener
    1 tsp mixed spice
    1 egg beaten
    185 g blueberries ( could also use dried fruit but pp's would increase considerably)

    Heat oven gas 4 / 180*c
    Line a swiss roll tin with foil & spray with frylight
    Mash banana's with the egg , set aside
    Add rest of ingredients into a large bowl add the banana & egg mixture stir well till all ingredients are well mixed together
    Put in the prepared tin, press the mixture into the tin so its flat
    Put in middle of oven for 40 mins, turning halfway through
    Leave in oven till it' s cool, cut into 12 fingers
    pp's for whole recipe 12 / 1 pp per finger :-)

    Re oat fingers needs a bit more sweetener and wouldnt leave in oven to cool again bottom was bit soggy so next time will take out and put on cooling wire i put them back in oven for 10 mins upside down to dry them out so they r ok now, not bad for 1 pp :-)

    snacks- w/w rich toffee bar, w/w caramel wafer (3 pp)
    total pp = 26
    42 weekly pp - 4 = 38 left
    1/2 pint semi skimmed milk 4

    2nd goal-lose a stone.- done 1/03/12!!
    3rd goal-lose 10%-12st 13-done 29/03/12!!
    4th goal-lose 1 1/2 stone-done 5/04/12!!
    5th goal-BMI under 30 (?12-5)
    6th goal-lose 2 stone.
    7th goal-lose 2 1/2 stone.
    8th goal-lose 3 stone.

    Hi helen as ive just said to irene its taking a bit of getting used to some parts r a bit confusing for example crumpets r 2 pp each but if u have 2 its 5 pp same with bread 1 slice is 1 pp but 2 slices r 3 ???? Not sure if that happpens with everything u have 2 of will have to ask next week xx

    I am finding i am being very careful with my portion size and am weighing everything something i didn't think i would be able to get my head around, have decided rather than using my weekly propoints daily from now on will use them weekly for a takeaway or mcd's so im having a real treat with them :-) Am loving crumpets with honey on at the moment yummy never tried it before would be nice with golden syrup on as well will check out the difference in cals if there's not much in it will buy some. Will fill my food diary in later just going to brave the cold and go to town, if anyone reads this post hope u have a good day xx

    Hi pomooky thanks for popping in its like a foreign language to me at moment too lol
    Made a lovely mexican beef pan fry today i was being brave i dont usually like mucked about food i did change it slightly but loved it, hope alls ok with u and ur enjoying the weekend love val xx

    Mexican beef pan fry
    8pp per serving serves 4

    Frylight
    1 red onion
    2 large mixed peppers
    2 cloves garlic chopped
    500g extra lean beef mince
    2 tsp paprika
    1tsp corriander powder
    3 tbs sweet chilli sauce
    1 tin chunky tinned toms
    Diced courgette

    Spray large pan with the Frylight
    Add onion, peppers, garlic, & courgette fry till soft
    Increase the heat and add the mince, paprika & corriander cook for 10 mins till browned add chilli sauce and tinned tomatoes add salt & pepper to taste
    Serve with brown rice
    If u use quorn mince will be 6 pp a serving
    And s/w friendly :-)

    saturday 11 th february
    26pp

    breakfast- 2 crumpets, 2 tsp low fat spread, 2 tsp hunny (8pp)

    lunch- mini tortilla wrap, wafer thin chicken, watercress, 1 tbs sweet chilli sauce. satsuma & pear (6pp)

    dinner- mexican beef pan fry, 30g brown rice (11pp)

    snacks- caramel wafer (1 pp) strawberries
    total pp= 26
    38 weekly pp-11=27 left
    1/2pt skimmed milk 3, w/w fromage frais 1, 5 w/w caramel wafers 5, w/w rich toffee bar 2
