ProPoints My WW Food Journey :)

Hi everyone I'm Laura, and I've decided to start a food diary on here, because I've found all the others so helpful to me. And this way, people can help me with my food choices and correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyway, when I first got on the scales I was 16st 10lb - the heaviest I've ever been. So, I weighed in last week and lost 7lb which I was chuffed about and feel I'm well on my way to starting a new healthy lifestyle.

My weigh in day in Sunday, so I'm starting this half way through my week, but nevermind.

This is what I've had so far today:

Breakfast:
30g cornflakes (3pp) milk (2pp) activia yoghurt (3pp)

Lunch: Ham Salad Sandwich
2 slices bread (5pp) ham (1pp) lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion (0pp) light salad cream (1pp)

Snacks:
Quavers (2pp) WW choc mini roll (2pp) 2 satsumas (0pp)

19/37 daily points used (so far) 48/49 weeklies left


I'll update my dinner late - think I'm having an omelette. My OH is cooking it for me tonight :)
 
So, I did have omelette for tea and it was absolutely lush ( my OH makes a perfect omelette!)

2 eggs (4pp), ww grated cheese (2pp) mushrooms (0pp) mccain micro chips (4pp) broccolli (0pp) light salad cream (2pp)

and for my pudding I'm gonna have a ww chocolate pudding :) yum yum (5pp)

36/37 daily points used 48/49 weeklies left

Cheers Jaly, I keep thinking "oh this can't be right" cause with what I'm eating I don't feel like I'm dieting. I haven't really had to change what I eat, just the portion sizes and swapping full fat stuff for low fat really. x

Thanks Sandra, support and advice is greatly welcomed :) I've given up on these type of diets in the past before, but I am super determined to beat this weight once and for all!! x

A stone (ish) was lost using slimming world and I started WW at 14st 4lb and I'm today... 12st 8lb although it's been a very on & off process since October! :p

That's still really good though. I used to do SW and I really liked it at first, but because I work 12 hour shifts I found it really inconvenint having to cook things from scratch all the time. At least with WW if I'm busy I can just pick up a microwave meal :) x

Yeah, I'm subscribed to Nessa's diary. I love her meals, gives me loads of inspiration! And thanks - I'm weighing myself in the morning, and then I've got a BBQ in the afternoon. Just hope I don't overdo it, but I've only used 1 of my weeklies so far this week, so they will come in handy tomorrow :)

Wow that's good that you only used 1 weekly! Yup they will sure come in handy at the BBQ :0) yea Nessa does some nice meals.
 
To be honest, I know it's part of the plan, but I almost feel like eating the weeklies won't help me lose weight. I think it's because I've done WW before, but the old way so I still can't get it into my head that I can actually use the weeklies :rolleyes:
 
Yea I was like that when I first started but I've still lost weight when used them,I've had 3 Sts and two small gains and it's always been when totm apart from one Sts which was after a big loss for me!
 
Do you use most of your weeklies every week then? I think I need to just have a bit of faith in the diet lol x

Well I do simply filling now where you don't pp but still have your weeklies,I tend to have about 23/22 left though once I had 13 left.When I pp I used to just use them for meals out but then relaxed about them and used them for weekend treats.Some people use them for dinners,drinks,I guess it depends on the individual :0)
