Hi all, i'm 28 years old - been on and off different diets for a long long time. I was successful and lost alot of weight about 2 years ago - some of that was through illness. I am type 1 diabetic using an insulin pump and have been battling to lose the last 2 or 3 stone. I had a few issues with food since developing diabetes and losing all that weight, I became sort of scared of food - I used to fast for days and then binge on crap. I am over these problems now but still feel guilt after every mouthful of food! I also weigh every day. Which I will avoid from now on and keep to my one weighing day a week.
Anyway, I have decided to give WW online a go and have just signed up. I have always come back to this site for help and guidance, and have been reading these forums for years, so I thought it a nice place to keep track of my food and progress. I am also hoping that my sugar levels will settle down a bit.
I am a little concerned though as I have been given 32 points, and when working out my points used today it only adds up to 12??! I generally eat fruit and vegetables, meat and thats about it - all low point or no point food. I have read that we should aim for the full amount of given points to lose weight steadily. So I planned out a meal plan for tomorrow (my first day officially on WW) and its more than I have eaten for years. I've managed to get it up to 22 points and its all the food that makes me feel guilty! I'm already feeling annoyed with myself and i've not even started! Well... I will update this tomorrow. I think this is what I need, a plan to follow, I just help I get good results the first week.

i would suggest trying to use ur dailies as 12 is quite low for a day!

Well last night was a very sleepless one and as I didn't need to be in work until the afternoon, I slept through breakfast. Though my food times have been a bit odd today as my shift at work was very busy - I am quite happy that i've managed my points, as yesterday I was thinking i'd be eating too much to get to my point value. I havn't had my usual fruit today, I did take an apple and banana to work but did not get round to eating them.
2 slices of Burgen Bread = 6 points
WW tuna and mayo can = 3 points
half a can of prunes = 3 points
Home made curry from last night = (over-calculated at about 8 points)
Snack on return from work at 22:00hrs
2 Burgen bread = 6 points
Primula cheese spread, light = 2 points
Bag of sweet tesco popcorn = 2 points
TOTAL DAILY POINTS 30/31
