    Well I thought I'd start a diary here to help keep myself on track. Today is day one doing propoints and as it's all new to me please feel free to correct me if any of my food values are wrong or if anyone has any tips/advice.


    I'm hoping to lose 2st by the end of July but my first goal is to see how much I can lose by Easter.

    Afternoon snack:
    Sainsbury's be good to yourself carrot and coriander cup a soup 2pp


    Dinner:
    WW beef hotpot 6pp
    Vegetables
    WW toffee yoghurt 1pp


    Evening snacks:
    WW ginger and lemon biscuits x 2 2pp
    Bag of Wotsits 3pp
    6 extra strong mints 2pp
    Melon


    I know a few things need to change like the snacks could do with being cut down but I am a terrible evening snacker and find it hard not to have anything at that time of day!


    5pp on coffee is a complete waste of breakfast points but I have never eaten breakfast in my life (except having cooked brekkie while on holiday etc), I've always had milky coffee but am open to suggestions on how I can put those 5 points to better use


    Are the WW meals a good or a bad thing? I don't intend to use them all of the time but this week I am relying on them to get me started then I will look at doing some cooking. I have recently started using a slow cooker and loving it so will have a proper look at that thread for recipes.


    So that's my first day and so far so good. Here's hoping the rest will be as easy!

    You could try semi skimmed or even skimmed milk to reduce pp by 1 or 2 in your coffee. I guess you've tried sweetener & don't like it (I don't!) - I know it's an obvious one but try to cut down on sugar little by little, say 1/4 spn for a week at a time & see how you get on.

    I know you don't normally have breakfast, but a bit if fruit couldn't hurt?! I'm a big fan of breakfast so would be starved by lunch on just coffee!

    WW meals are handy, but small, but you've bulked up with veg, which is great. Do you go to meetings / online?? They give out booklets at meetings each week or online there are loads of recipes to try, 0/1/2pp soups are great! If you go to meetings I highly recommend the monthly pass, it's cheaper & you get the online tools - double bubble

    Funnily enough I've bought some semi skimmed to try again I've never been a fan to be honest but maybe I will get used to it. Have already cut my sugar down to one teaspoon as you're right, I can't stand sweetener in coffee/tea. I'll try reducing it bit by bit to see if that helps.

    I actually had breakfast this morning! Only a crumpet though and I did miss my milky coffee but hey ho. Having porridge tomorrow for a change, made with half water, half semi skimmed.

    As for the WW meals they are mainly for convenience this week really, until I get my head around the points although I do actually quite like them. Slowly getting there! I made a spag bol yesterday (from a ww recipe) and froze it so we can have it next week when oh is joining me on the diet.

    I'm doing the diet myself at the moment, to see how I get on but I might buy the starter pack from ww online. I take it you're on monthly pass then? It does look good value.

    Well I realised yesterday that you don't just double the points for ww bread if you have more than one slice so I'm down on my weekly points but only by three. You live and learn.

    Goan Prawn Curry with rice noodles from ww recipe (delicious!) 9pp

    4 glasses of white wine 12pp (naughty but nice to have a treat )

    I can recommend the prawn curry out of the ww mag (march edition) as it was gorgeous and tasted just like a green Thai curry that oh has made in the past. It was hard to imagine it was actually a diet meal!

    i never ever have bfast n wouldnt change it for a diet either
    i do have a cup of tea tho first thing which costs me 2pps, or a mocha/latte which costs me a bit more! i too wouldnt appreciate a sweetner!!

    Oh thank god, it's not just me who doesn't usually have breakfast I have to say though that I am really enjoying the porridge and when I have that, I don't miss the milky coffee.

    thats ok
    i dont tend to get hungry until 10ish, it would sorta make me feel sick if someone slapped bfast infront of me at 7 o clock lol, have to have my cuppa tho first thing!
