Giving WW a try!!

Hi :)

My name's Ally, I've decided to give WW a try after following SW for nearly 3 years. I got to target at Christmas but after that the weight started coming back on. I can't seem to stick to SW at the moment. I'd have a few good days and then mess it up. So yesterday I decided to give to try something different- hopefully something new will have keep me interested enough to stick to it! I signed up for one month online yesterday, but will still go to SW weigh ins each week as that's something I do with my mum, and I like the ones at the group I go to!

I've decided to start with straight counting the points. Simple start seems too much like slimming world and I think I need help with portion control!

So weigh in on my home scales yesterday was 10 stone 13.5, last weeks weigh in (on Wednesday) was 10 stone 11.5. Will use my weight from this Wednesday as the official start, and I would like to get back to my original target of 10 stone 2.5 :)
 
Food so far today (good thing I'm off work today as it is giving me plenty of time to look things up!)

B: banana (0 pp), herbal tea (0pp)
L: 2 quorn sauages (3pp), 2 fried eggs-using frylight (5pp) and mushrooms (0pp)
S: another herbal tea (0pp), satsuma (0pp)
D: pasta bake [ pasta (9pp), chopped tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, onions, garlic and chilli flakes (all 0pp) and 30g melted cheese on top (3pp) ]

Leaves 6pp for this evening :)

sounds like a good start!
i too stick to propoints as i like the idea of portioning food and counting points!

I had trouble with SW because I think I was eating too much so I tend to do the counting too.
 
So day 2 pretty much done. I'm really liking it so far :)
The only thing that is a bit off putting is when you see the value of 1 item, and then when you put it in the tracker the points isn't x2.
eg yesterday 1 quorn sausage=2 but 2 is 3pp, and today 1 WW choc digestive is 1pp but 2 is 3! Did read it was something to do with rounding up/down since there's no half points used.

Last night I used my last 6 on: 2 sw rocky road bars (4) and malteser drink (2)

Food today:
B- banana and 2 satsumas (0)
L- carrot soup, 2 dairylea light triangles (1), 3 sesame ryvita (3)
S- banana
D- roasted tomato soup, 2 pitta bread (8) with tuna (3), mayo (1), onion and lettuce.
S- apple, lemon icecream (6), 2 digestives (3)

Also 1pp for milk used in 3 coffees and 1 tea.

Weigh in tomorrow, will be glad to get the official starting weight even though I'm expecting a gain from last weeks weigh in.

Thanks Shez, and thanks everyone for subscribing. I was having a nosey round some diaries on here last night so got subscribed to some too. Feel free to point out if I'm going wrong anywhere as ww is completely new to me and am going by what I've read from their website.

Food so far today:
coffee
B: apple and banana (0), more coffee (1 for milk used throughout day)
L: carrot soup (0) with pitta bread (4) stuffed with lettuce, pepper and red onion (0) and 2 dairylea light triangles (1)

I've weigh in at half 7, normally don't eat much before it (bad habit I know) but I'm getting hungry so wondering what to have- plus I've 20 points left to use and don't want to be eating them all after 9 oclock!
 
Thanks. Was pleasantly surprised with 1.5lb off this week :D
So starting weight for ww is 10.10, undecided whether I want to get to 10 2.5 or 10. I'll keep it at the 2.5 for now and see how I get on :)

Since weigh in, I've had a rocky road (2) and peanut hifi (3).

9 left and not sure what to have, at my mums at the moment so will get something when I get home.

big bowl of carrot soup
pitta bread with 2 dairylea light triangles stuffed with lettuce, red onion and pepper

2 ww yogurts

2 slices of toasted wheaten bread with butter and jam
peanut hifi bar
3 mini flumps

Food wasn't particularly great today. Was working 1-9 so don't have my normal breakfast lunch and dinner times. Plus stopped at my mums on the way home (if I don't I would normally have an actual dinner)

It's my birthday tomorrow so out for a meal- not sure how to point it but planning on using weeklies to cover it. Will also try to keep food healthy during the day- well that's the plan!
 
Thank you Shez and MrsLmc (oh and of course I don't mind your subscribing!)

I've had a full weekend off counting. Thought I'd use the weeklies all on Friday and then get back onto it proper on Saturday but another meal out on Saturday pretty much wrecked that, and didn't start again yesterday. Haven't had any peeks on the scales to see the damage (and they were showing a lovely loss on Friday morning!!) but if I get a maintain/gain on Wednesday then I'l definitely know where it came from!

Back to it proper today
B- 2 weetabix (3), raspberries and milk (7 for the whole day)
L- roast tomato soup, 4 ryvita (4) with dairylea (2)
S- 2 satsumas
D- WW ocean pie (5) with loads of broccoli and cauliflower

5 points left for the day so think I'l have some toast with mashed banana later this evening
