    35lbs in 35weeks

    I have been overweight now for 13 years, not quite half my adult life but long enough that I really should have done something about it before now.

    But every journey has a beginning and here is the first step of mine.

    So why now....
    I turn 30 next month and in the next year or so will be thinking about starting a family. I don't want to be a fat Mum. I don't want to pass on any unhealthy food relationships to my children. I want to be able to run, skip, play and do things without having the burden of my bodyweight holding me back. I am also going to Florida in September and again want to be comfortable in the heat and feel good within myself.

    So I signed up to weight watchers monthly pass on Saturday 16th Jan and I went to my first class on Tuesday 20th which means my first weeks weigh in is tomorrow. I have 43pp a day allocated just now.

    I am going to use this thread to document my highs and lows on the journey down the stones and to set some goals. So goal 1 is to get into new stone bracket by my birthday in two weeks time.

    Let's do this thing!

    Thank you lovely people for the follows... It is rather nice to know I won't just be rambling to myself haha.

    Tonight I had bootcamp which was tough but awesome. I love exercising! Although dragging my 19st 8 ass about when I have to run is not fun. Yet another another incentive to drop some pounds!

    Weigh in day tomorrow so will wait till after that to post again. Thinking skinny thoughts!

    Good luck for weigh in mine is at 6 am not hopeful iv had the odd day of picking at little bits its only when i have added realized pickin made me this size lool x

    Hi Laura

    Bootcamp sounds like hard work! I bought myself a Fitbit a few weeks ago to try and get myself to be more active. I am going to try and increase my steps by 500-100 steps each day.

    How did you get on at your weigh in?

    Well first weigh in and I lost 4.5lbs so I am delighted! Super buzzing!

    Hope to lose another 4 before my 30th in Feb!

    Good plan on the Fitbit, gradual build up is the right plan. Means you don't do to much at once and put yourself off! Bootcamp was super tough but I love it.

    Well done Laura, 4.5lbs in excellent. Fingers crossed you meet your goal before your birthday.

    I am doing fine this week thanks, I a trying to save some points each day (I can because I am doing the old WW plan) so that I can have a takeaway on Friday. I have managed yesterday and hopefully will have some points left tonight aswell. I have been trying to drink more and my Fitbit is good as I can track my drinks on there aswell. I haven't figured how to work it fully yet. x

    Good plan to save, you can then fully enjoy without feeling guilty.

    Me and my lovely husband got a bit too reliant on takeaways in the last few months so we have cut them out completely so far this year. For financial reasons as much as anything! We still have restaurant meals though socially.

    I am planning my food for tomorrow. Like to track all my meals first then see what I have to play with after that.

    So tonight is yoga night. This is a recent find as the local leisure centre just started classes this year. I really enjoy the classes, always come out feeling very chilled and very positive. Gives me an hour of relaxing time to myself. It also gains me 5 activity points!!!!

    Food wise today I have been ok, working from home which I always find slightly harder than going to the office, basically due to the proximity to the kitchen and lack of company!

    It's snowing as well so the house is freezing, think I may be burning extra calories just trying to stay warm! Every little helps as Tesco would say.

    Hope everyone is having a good day!
