Scary times :(

I wasnt really wanting to post this here but if i look for info on the net all i get is scare stories. Back story first...

Had a lot of problems with Reflux and IBS which means without much detail my toilet trips arnt pleasant. Anyways got quite bad IBS cramps yesterday morning and ended up going which wasnt nice. Fell asleep for a couple hours to see if i felt better and had to go again when i woke up. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary until it came time to wipe. Tissue was red with blood and the toilet was red too. Scared me quite a bit and have had a sore tum since. Hoping to get into the docs tomorrow for answers but needed to clear my mind a bit here.

Sorry if TMI :'(

Sorry I can't help but hope you feel better

Try not to worry too much, easier said than done but it is probably something small like a wee tear round the back passage. I have IBS and during flare ups have passed blood. Its not nice at all and nobody likes seeing blood in the toilet, like you, my mind goes into overdrive! Hopefully, your appointment will be quick and you can get it sorted, xx

Hope everything went ok with the Doctor? :)

My Appts on Fri at 5.20. Was the nearest i could get and to be honest im lucky i got one within a week of my call!

Not going to lie and say im not nervous but i want it sorted. Wondering if its to do with my IBS because all day ive had cramps non stop that didnt clear with going to the loo.

Hopefully get it sorted!

Had my appt yesterday and apparantly the doc thinks i had a wee tear which caused the bleeding. My IBS had been playing up before that so add the constant wiping onto that and you can see where its come from. He thinks i should try wet wipes instead of tissue when my IBS flares.

Thanks for the concern :)

I completely understand your panic and it's better to put your concerns on here then bottle them up. Glad things are better than thought :)

I have ibs, and this usednto happen to me alot!!

I have IBS too and get this. I also am pretty sure I am lactose intolerant and had an attack the other day after binging on chocolate. Wasn't nice :(

It really is scary when it happens though. You automatically assume its something terrible without trying to think logically.

Im slowly learning which foods trigger my IBS and thus reducing attacks. Junk food and fatty foods seems to be a huge trigger hence why ive rejoined WW. Also some diet fizzy drinks too, they contain an ingredient that makes my gut jump like mad! I also have to be careful with robinsons NAS squash. If i have more than one beaker full i tend to suffer.

Would be interesting to see what triggers other people have...

Definitely greasy and fatty food for me. Too much dairy.

Can't have fizzy drinks at all or I get bloated and trapped wind.

Fizzy drinks and too much fat are deffo the thing that sets me off
