Breakfast Ideas??

Hi guys :)

Just started WW this week and I'm in need of some inspiration, has anyone got any tasty breakfast ideas instead of the normal toast etc

:)

My New find this week :

Mix together
150g 0% fat greek yogurt = 2pp
30g Mornflake orchard granola 3pp
And if you want it a bit sweeter 1tsp honey for 1pp

But my trusty breakfast is
30g Sachet porridge oats 3pp
90ml skimmedmilk 1pp
90ml water 0pp
1 tsp honey 1pp
Grated nutmeg
Banana

I have 150g onken fat free natural yogurt over a chopped banana and chopped apple with 20g muesli sprinkled on top, give it a yummy crunch and all for 3pp!! Feels like a real treat!

I have breakfast at work so have started bringing in Belvita biscuirts (6PP) i know that this is high but previously I would have a full fat latte with flap jack every day!

No mess or nonsense and they are on special in sainsbury's at the moment.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to share my fav weekend brekkie recipe its pancakes made from just banana and egg! You mash up one banana with one egg spoon them onto the pan add a few blueberries and violla! The banana is 0pp the egg is 3p (mine are normally large) I also normally add a teaspoon on lyles golden syrup for 1pp! One banana and one egg will make between 4 and 5 pancakes (I make em small because the batter is quite think and hard to move around) :D

I love the sound of those pancakes, I'm going to try them. Thanks x

I have started this week, also not sure what to have for breakfasts, been having fruit all week. Ive never really been a breakfast fan but want to start filling my self up to last until my dinner x

Does anyone have any more breakfast ideas?! I have been eating fruit and yoghurt but it doesn't fill me up and I am starving an hour later, but I don't like cereal or porridge, don't eat bread, and don't have time to cook something on a morning :( x

Thanks for this, tried them this morning without golden syrup but once cooked I topped with mixed berries and a sprinkle of sweetener and they were yummy x

Hi all,

I found a lovely pancake/hotcake receipe on the NZ and AUcooking show website Everyday gourmet after seeing it on Tv.

Ingredients2/3 cup (100g) wholemeal self-raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp caster sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
2/3 cup (160ml) skim milk
2 tbs low-fat fresh ricotta cheese
½ cup (80g) fresh blueberries
1 tbs honey

Method

Sift the flour and baking powder into a medium bowl. Stir in the sugar. Place the egg and milk in a jug and beat with a fork until combined. Make a well in the centre of the flour mixture and pour in the egg mixture. Whisk until smooth. Set aside for 10 minutes.

Lightly spray a large non-stick frying pan with oil and heat over medium heat. Spoon ¼ cup (60ml) of the batter into the pan and spread out with the back of a spoon until 1cm thick. Cook for 1–2 minutes or until bubbles rise to the surface. Turn and cook for 1–2 minutes or until hotcakes are lightly browned. Transfer to a plate and cover to keep warm.

Repeat with remaining batter to make 4 hotcakes. Serve topped with the ricotta and blueberries. Drizzle with honey.

i worked it out to be 8pp but I don't know if your app gives different values than mine deos in the Netherlands.

I've started having Ryevita and cheese spread, but of course you can have any type of topping sweet or savoury x

The pancake recipe sounds delicious! I'll need to try that out when I have a free morning!
