1 + 1 = 3???

An anybody help me.
For example- 1egg is 2pp
2eggs are 4pp
3eggs are 5pp

If I have 1egg 3 times in the same day is that 5pp or 6pp?

Same for bread aswell. 1 slice in morning then 1 slice at tea. Is that 2pp or 3pp from daily total. Or do I deduct each food as I eat it? I'm trying to work out if I'm doing it right as finding it very hard to lose weight. Thanks in advance.
 
The best way to do it is for your overall day - 5pp for 3 eggs, 3pp for 2 slices of bread etc. But it can be tricky to keep it straight sometimes, so it shouldn't be the end of the world if it's not perfect! And definitely don't worry about counting across days!
