30g of Bran Flakes, All Bran and Special k original all come in at 3PPs ....but...that excludes milk, plus, have you seen how much 30g is when you put it in a bowl? Make sure you weigh it carefully..

My huz used to think he was having a 'serving' of cereal before I actually weighed it, only to have to tell him he was eating almost 100g in his bowl before he'd even thought about the milk or the extra sprinkling of sugar!

I've always checked the NVs of cereals, particularly ones where you might add extra sugar or a squeeze of honey. Some have more than 20% sugar content.. I usually have porridge with a mix of milk/water and use a sweetner like stevia if I need some sweetness.

That said, cereals contain fibre which is a good thing, just get into the habit of checking the boxes and also comparing the NVs between branded and 'own brand' supermarket versions.. they are not all created equal.

I WILL be at goal by Christmas!
