So thinking steaks free I had some for dinner... but now I find it's just sirloin or fillet... What's the difference with rump steak?!

There are 2 entries for rump steak on the online app. It says LEAN rump steak is free. So hopefully the piece you had wasn't fatty.

Just chop the fat off then it's free. Or buy it without fat.
It's like chicken is free but chicken with skin isn't.
