Had started another thread but realized I should try to find a buddy, who has to lose around the same amount of weight as I do. So hopefully someone else is out there

Yay! For me it's approximately 88 pounds which is about 40 kilos. I lost 4.9 kilos this far

I have failed so many times before I have lost count, but can feel that it is different this time. I know I will succeed as I am losing weight as I really want to, not just because I should.

I am following the WW programme and taking it slow. That's where I failed in the past. Thinking I was on a diet and needed to lose the weight wuick. Now I am aware it is more than a diet, it's for life. So am taking it slow, still eating some unhealthy stuff and not working out right now. When I stop losing it will be easier to adjust, in order to keep losing.

As to working out, I am pretty challenged as I am a single mother. I am currently not working, so I will be able to go workout when my son is at daycare. However, when I find a job that possibility is gone and I will need to find things I can do with my son, which also gives me a workout at the same time. People always suggest a lot of things, but they don't realize how little time you have on your hands as a single parent pf a young child. I mean once I work, i am up from 6am getting us ready for work and daycare. I put him to sleep at 8, leaving me two hours until I go to bed. Two hours in which to tidy and clean the kitchen, sort laundry, prepare for the next day and get some alone time. Not much. And as said, this is for life, not just for a short period of time. So I need to be realistic

So, am being realistic, and really taking it slow and easy, as it has to last. Am happy to lose the weight slowly and steadily and moreimportantly for good

What's the Cambridge Plan all about?

Not doing Cambridge anymore lost all willpower so back to ww until October. I am a single mum of 2. My youngest is 17 months and deaf, so challenging and my eldest is 3 but 4 next week. I have a good relationship with their dad and he has them twice a week. I use that time for gym and classes My stats are old i have not been on a comp to update them in 6/7 weeks lol

Oh, sorry to hear your son is deaf. It's a challenge we could all be without
I am alone with my son. It was a choice I made when 38 and still with no Mr. Right in sight. He is the result of artificial insemination with sperm from an anonymous donor. Am lucky that I had the option to have it done on the NHS. The good thing is I dont have a Dad to have to agree with on things, the bad thing is i dont get any days off Mum duty, and no child support.

My son is 11 months old and he is the most amazing thing ever! I love him to bits, and i think that having him is the best decision I've ever made

How many propoints do you get per day? I am at 33 and try to stick to it and avoid using the weekly bonus. However this far no such luck. Which I think is kinda good. The only STS was a week I hadnt used as many of them.

Am also taking it bit by bit. When I've tried to lise weight wuickly I have had shortlived success. So am doing this slow and steady.

Am in it for the long run so sometimes I give mysrlf the day, or the week off. Am sure to succeed that way. I'd rather it takes a year, or a little over a year, and still be allowed to enjoy myself on my birthday, at the holidays and on hols. After all those days are not the reason I am overweight. It is the ones in between

    Yeah. Wine is nasty.

I stay clear of alcohol. For my birthday I didnt eat much but I had a few drinks and had gained 3-4 pounds just after. Not worth it to me

WI today was a STS. I have bern excercising a lot this week so could be it. However, I do need to get my act together.

    When's your birthday?

I had a mexican theme for mine. Didnt eat much, had a couple of margaritas and was busy all day, running all over the place. Tbh I was surprised by the gain. I attribute it to the alcohol.

I WI on Thursdays. Am looking forward to see what's in store weight wise.

I think it is hard to fit in excercise; I am alone with a one year old. Right now I don't have a job but an doing a project management course for 6 weeks. The days are short, 6 hours. So I take advantage and drop my son of at daycare early, go swimming before school. I love it. It's such a great start to the day. But once I find a job, it wont be a possibility. Finding something else will be hard. On weekdays I only have an hour and a half to two hours in the evening to do chores and practical stuff as well as have some alone time and a chance to relax. My dad will however babysit sometimes so I can go swimming in the evening. But it just isnt the same. Will just really have to enjoy it while it lasts and be grateful that ot is possible for now. That it makes me feel better and helps me on my weight loss journey.

Sprry for the rambling, lol. Do you have kids?

Heya. Mines on Tuesday although will celebrate next weekend. I managed to lose a pound this week ... Was a bit dissappointed as I'd looked to be losing more at the beginning of the week and then thurs, fri and saturday I seemed to gain a little even though I was within points. I need to get my act together with the exercise.

No kids here yet ... And I'm still single (with no half decent men in sight! Lol) so we will see. Lol. At the mo am caring for a relative but it leaves so little time for anything. I do take the relative to the swimming pool a few times a week so that gets me moving a little.

Ramble away! Lol. I do it a lot. Lol.

Hi i am wanting to lose 100lb. There must be something in the air as this time it has clicked and i am also happy for it to take time, one day at a time.
I started a class last thursday and it is being run by a really nice lady so i think that will also help. I am not exercising yet but do have 2 small children to run after so off to the park shortly.
