    OK, here I am again, new diary and this time I mean it!

    I've been on WW for about 10 years on and off, got to goal in 2003, had 2 kids and back on it all came. But now my kids are at school and playgoup, I have time to concentrate on me and become the gorgeous wife and yummy mummy my family deserve

    For about 18mths now I've been helping out at my meeting which in a way hasn't been helping me. I don't have to pay fort a start, so no loss if I'm not losing. I help weigh members, which I absolutely love, love love. I love the rapport and friendships I've built up, sharing the joy when people lose, commiserating when they don't. But in all that I've forgotten that I'm supposed to be there for me too!

    So whats changed? Well, as a result of a routine check, it turns out I've got high blood pressure. I've never had issues before, so in my mind it can only be my weight thats causing it. And the day I went to get prescribed medication for it I'll never forget. The doctor telling me I was really very young to be on tablets for it, made me feel awful. The doctor was lovely, it was me thinking how the heck could I have done this to myself, what went wrong, etc.

    And since then I've got serious about this. I've always gone to the gym, but as I've learned you can't out-exercise a bad diet. Weightloss is 80% nutrition I once read. So out came the journal, the blue folder and here i am. I've lost 12lb now and people are starting to notice which is great. I set myself a few mini goals (see my sig) and the first one is this week. Due to a slight mishap at the local food festival over the weekend I might not achieve this by my WI tomorrow, but I will defo achieve it by the Friday deadline. Got a big family get together this weekend, they wont have seen me since before Christmas so hopefully they'll be able to see a difference.

    So thats enough of me rabbiting on for now. I love to chat, so please stop by and say hi!

    You sound a lot like me! I lost nearly 3 stone (not to goal though) about 5 years ago but put it all back on (and more). I was also helping out in meetings doing the weighing. I started helping after I'd lost the weight and it really didn't help. I wasn't paying so didn't really try! Plus I would take the cash I earned and go and buy chocolate

    Not this time though I am back and am actually going to a meeting with the same leader. I've helped her out occasionally when she has needed it because she did train me, but still pay for my monthly pass.

    Subscribing and yes I to helped out in the past and lost motivation,this is my second time with WW but do it at home now.Well done for getting back on track and just think one day soon those meds shall hopefully not be needed anymore :0)

    Hi guys, thanks for the welcome.

    Tonight had the potential to be tough. DS1 had a Beaver event at the local campsite tonight, starting at 6, finishing at 8ish. I usually eat at around 8, I simply can't eat any earlier, dunno why. So it could have been so easy to come back in and grab whatever junk I could find to eat. BUT I was prepared, chopped my chicken and veg ready and by the time we were home and DS had his jim jams on, hey presto I had a yummy healthy chicken stirfry! Plus I've done a bit of extra activity, walking around the campsite as opposed to slobbing out on the sofa.

    Still doubt I've done anything re weigh in tomorrow, if anything I'll be prepared to have put on a pound or 2. But hey ho, we all have a bad week here and there.

    Off to read and subscribe to some of the other diaries on here.....

    Well done on being prepared last night,it makes all the difference! That's good as well that you added activities instead of chilling on the sofa! Joining diaries is a good idea as can get more tips and advice that way.

    Weigh in tonight,am nervous for the first time in ages! Looking at my diary and judging by the cramps I've started with it's TOTM too. I can never tell as I've got the implant in so don't have periods as such. I usually know by the cramps, bloating and the fact that I'm in an evil mood and screaming at everyone, lol. Ticking all 3 boxes today!

    Foodwise I'm ok. DH is out at footie tonight so I'll do something nice and healthy just for me.He only started the other week and prior to this WI night would also be takeaway night, so it's good to no longer have that temptation. Will however celebrate/commiserate with a glass of wine- Sainsburys have a gorgeous white Rioja on offer at the moment and my online shop is due any minute!

    Hi all,

    Day 1 of a new week and I'm feeling good. Commiserated last night with a pile of pasta, garlic bread and wine, so wasn't feeling too great this morning! But a good tough gym session soon sorted me out. Did resistance training today, love that. For the final few reps you feel like you just can't carry on and your arms/legs will drop off, then you push through and smash it!

    Been good foodwise so far. Got venison burgers tonight for tea, which i have no idea how to propoint. But I do know it's a very lean meat so should stay within my allowance. I'm just having the burgers, no bun, with corn on the cob and salad, I think I'll be fine on that.

    I've got that brand new week buzz at the moment, if i could I'd go back to the gym! But instead I've got my youngest boy and my friends little girl to look after while my friend gets some kip before her nightshift, it's proving somewhat eventful so far!

    Cheers, Willow, thats great! And wow, really low, even better!

    This afternoon has been very full on, the 2 kids just tearing round the house and into everything, the place was like a bombsite by the end. Then my youngest has been in big trouble for throwing a piece of his dinner across the table, going to retrieve it ans upending his entire plate onto the floor! Frazzled does not even begin to describe my mood! Luckily the weather is good so both my boys are playing out, I've got the house back to a relatively normal state and I'm taking a few moments to chill.

    So today has been pretty dull, housework, softplay, home again with DS1's ten million school books he's brought home for end of year.

    Looking forward to this weekend, we're going away for a couple of days to visit family. A couple of times a year we have a big get together, there's a lot of us and it's fab. Well put it this way, my dad's the eldest of 7, I'm the eldest of 16 grandchildren, and DS1 is the eldest of 7 great grandchildren so it's a bit crazy but a LOT of fun!

    So I'm trying to be good, aiming to have my head screwed on for at least breakfast and lunch while we're away.
