Tattys road to a new me

Hi I've been a bit of a lurker so joined minimins and decided to weigh up the options and see what diets are out there and which ones worked
After calorie counting endless times and tried ww once before for about 2 days I decided to go back to ww and start again going to the first meeting was good until I stood on those scales I could have wished the ground open up and swallow me I thought I was 15 stone 8lbs huh was I wrong
i weighed in at 15stone 13lbs!!! So as of then I decided enough was enough and the start of my journey began.
My first week which was last week I sat and worked out my points day to day and planned my meals including any treats I may like and I also bought myself a set of ww scales,I also write everything down in the journal omg that is my godsend and I can never be without mine.
i went to my 1st weigh in yesterday and lost 4lbs and hearing yes well done a loss of 4lbs was just so amazing I left that meeting buzzing and so now I decided to start a thread on here and look for meal ideas and if I feel myself slipping then I know I can come on here and recieve support

Thought I'd do a little post so I can keep myself updated as I'm going along
been on track and got weeklies left but not managed to do as much exercise as I would like due to my knee playing up weighed on the ww scales at home and had a tiny gain only 1/4lb which is nothing but feel a bit sluggish cos of it,still on track though and might not affect too much for weigh in on Monday
 
Hi Tatty, Welcome to the forum. Well done on your 4lb loss and I'm sure that wee 1/4lb will soon go..most prob fluid and nothing to worry about.

Shame about your knee being bad. Do you suffer with arthritis I wonder?
I have it in my back and shoulders which makes doing ordinary things very difficult so I do know how you feel.
Obviously the more weight you can lose the better it will be especially where knees are concerned... but you don't need me to tell you that hey?!!

Take care and keep going, it will be so worth it in the end... :)
 
Well done on doing so well so far, I'm nearly the same weight as you. So possibly have similar goes. Good luck on your journey I hope it works well for you this time xx
 
Hi all apologies I've not been on for a while just fell off the wagon a bit but now back and am determined as ever I'm not starting today I'm starting Saturday so weigh ins will be then,still doing ww so at the moment just been planning meals and getting myself into gear so to speak...but until then I'm not making it as an excuse to eat more quite the opposite actually lol

Hi all I'm back-been away for a while and not been dieting,I did look at sw but its not for me I gorged a lot in just one day and so decided m a ww gal,I know where i am with my points and weeklies so that's all i need lol,I have a few parties so jot going to re-start ww just yet but will be doing it from home and weigh ins will be a Saturday morning.I've Lost some weight since being away and I was 15stone 7lbs but now weight 15stone 2lbs so not all bad.

Hi all I am back after a hard few weeks when my weight have been going up then down then up and now I am back at 15 4 and half and really need a swift boot up the backside,my knee pain have now gone...I knew it would when I get to a certain weight so now I'm thinking right my body's telling me that once I'm this weight I suffer this but when I'm below it I'm fine..weird huh?.
so now after weighing this morning I want to lose some weight but this time not be so hard on myself so to speak...
I am allowing myself the day of weigh in my free day iykwim so then I have 6 days to be good :) and with some exercising then aiming for at least 2lbs a week.weigh ins will be a Saturday morning and the motivation board is a very good idea as my friend has one and gave me some ideas for mine so gonna work on that as well.
thanks if you made it this far and I promise this time I'm back for good :) xx
 
Sounds like a plan! Sometimes, if we allow ourselves more freedom we actually are more controlled! Good Luck for the week ahead :) x
 
Thankyou...been a bit naughty already this morning had 2 cuppas so far and 3 biscuits but having a large salad with jacket potato for dinner so mainly all free foods plus later on plus decided to kick start a new profile on the wii,I'm looking forward to the new wii fit u coming out which should be soon yay.

Ooooo that sounds good :) And remember nothing is forbidden on WW so biscuits is fine :) Don't Panic! X
 
Hey all failed miserably over Xmas so ready to be a new me and sticking to what I know and that is weight watchers
I've heard about the new simply start and don't mind giving that a go but is it worth going to a meeting and seeing what it's about or...is it just a quick fix but you end up back on pro points???
I don't mind pro points it's good for me but if this simply start is a whole new thing then is it worth trying??
