After reading the replies on here I am amazed how many people have the same trouble as me on planes. It is so embarrassing when you have to eat your meal off your lap because the table doesn't come down level because it's hitting your belly. This is probably one of the most embarrassing things that has happened to me, that and the fact that the hostess says she cant see my seatbelt because it's under my belly. The next time I go on a plane (hopefully March next year) i'm gonna make sure I have lost enough weight to have a comfortable journey.

I haven't been on a plane since I was a child but I certainly wont be going now until I'm happy with my weight!!! Scary stuff!

I'm so glad I started this thread and thanks everyone for being so open and honest.

The plane is my biggest fear everytime I go on hol and I love my holidays. I feel so sorry for my hubby cos he gets the brunt of it!! All the times i've been i've squeezed myself in with the belt and only once had to ask for an extender and was utterly embarrased but a hell of a lot more comfortable!!

I've yet to eat my meal comfortably from my tray and I always use hubby's to sit my drinks etc on! But we're booked for 2 weeks away in Sept next year and I hope to be comfortable and wearing some lovely summer clothes for a change!.x

oh by the way a little boast im down a dress size since starting weightwatchers in nov im so so pleased that iv been able to stick to it!!

welldone on the dres size sofagirl

loosing weight im lookin forward too

- fittin in to a nice bikini in the summer
- actually accept a guy likes me for me and not my looks
- look good in a pair of skinny jeans
- have my colarbones on show
- wearing a different dress size every few months

I wrote a list of these before to encourage me....here are a few from it...

To make my bf say wow, when he sees me.
To go shopping and know that most things will look good.
To be able to buy nice clothes and have them still fit a month later.
Be able to buy matching underwear that fits, from shops where bras arent £40+
To get compliments, and looks when out.
To never worry about seeing certain people and not looking my best.
To know i look better than a certain person who always makes me feel bad about myself
To be able to try on boots without the embarrasment of knowing i wont even get them past my ankle
To not have to try one 300 outfits to find one that i look least vile in before going out.
To just feel like a normal girl at uni, not the fattest one their.

Ooh, there is sooo much I'm looking forward to, but I think the bottom line is that I'm just looking forward to feeling happy with myself - I would LOVE to gain a bit of confidence! I crave the day I can run around the soft play place with my daughter (I can't do it at the moment - I'm too scared I'll get stuck!), when I can go out clothes shopping and buy clothes because I like them rather than just because they hide the bits I hate, when I can go out with friends and not feel like the token fat friend, when I don't have to be drunk for someone to get a picture of me (I avoid the camera at all costs...until I've had a drink, heehee), when I can buy sexy undies instead of 'comfortable' ones , when I can run around after my 3 year old without feeling like I'm gonna pass out!....I just can't wait for all of it!

I'm doing it for my health; Also eventually i want to have lots of children, so losing weight will help me conceive and also help me to run around after the kids and enjoy in everything that they will bring to my life.

That's the main reason, little ones is to not feel like i'm not good enough for my OH, although he always tells me to shut up when i talk about things like this lol, but i just wanna be at my best for him.

Plus i just want a new start; fresh stab at life, 2010 time to do it
