Ha ha ha! Wine is truely a memory wiper, well that's what I blame it on anyway!
Had great plans for coming on here and giving a lovely sober post so you all wouldn't think that I'm a alchy (sp?) but unfortunately recent events have changed things somewhat

Managed to look slightly respectable when I went to my mums. Hubby drove so when I got there and my mum offered me a glass of wine, how could I refuse??? Had a lovely lasagne, my sis came as well, and we all had a good chat. 4 glasses of wine later brought kids home, read a chapter of 'The Faraway Tree' to ds (dd went straight to bed after her bottle, she's 1) and struggled with a rendition of 'Golden Slumbers' and 'Sunshine'
Had a lovely chat to my friend who's wedding reception it was last night and we've planned to go out for a meal and a few drinks in August

, did say to say hi to my greased lightning dancing partner!
Back here now, dh is watching 'Top Gear' and I'm on here. Had a special K bar for brekkie which is 1.5pts, lasagne was 8pts and wine was 8pts so still within my points

I usually don't drink this much at all, just had such a busy month, honest.....

Informed hubby that he missed my dance last night, have threatened (sp?????lol) it again but he's not impressed

Oh well nevermind.
Love the idea of having a rambling thread, looking forward to hearing a few ramblings from everyone else so I don't look as bad

Oooh and also in the Faraway Tree, do you remember Dame Washalot who throws her water down the tree and the saucepan man!
I love all these stories, my mum used to read them to me when I was little.
The Faraway Tree and The Wishing Chair were my fav ones. She brought them a few years ago for me as our original ones were getting a bit fragile. I read them both last year and now ds is old enough for me to read them to him, he loves it, he always says, 'mummy can you read me your special book' bless him.

Youre SUCH a bad influence I just bought the complete Faraway Tree and Wishing Chair sets on Amazon for my niece lol

Could have got them cheaper on ebay but I HATE 2nd hand books, so bought brand new hardback versions lol

I bought Emma my all time favourite book EVER - My Naughty Little Sister for her 1st Christmas, ok so she was kinda young to appreciate it but it was such a beautiful complete edition and I hadnt seen it in so long.

Hmmm I maybe better give one set of books to Emma and give one for Ciara. Dont want to be accused of playing favourites.

Ofcourse Ill probably have to have a wee leaf through them when they arrive
