    Distraction techniques!!

As much as I love the snow, I'm stuck inside as I can't get out anywhere and coupled with the fact its flipping cold, all I want to do is eat naughty food!!

Have managed to distract myself by... cleaning the bathroom, doing 3 loads of washing, painting my nails, waxing my legs, having a face mask and baking scones for hubby so far-any other food distraction techniques gratefully received! x

I get the urge now and again- then resist it by thinking of the end point in the weight loss goals and eat a bit of fruit instead.

I either play games, or do a bit of family history work. The world could end, and I'd not notice...still find me there with the world collapsed around me looking at the census.
Anything that focuses the mind elsewhere is a great thing when combating the food fairy.

Mind things are good I agree. Did a few puzzles out the back of a magazine earlier which kept me occupied for a while. Just had a low cal jelly to curb the hunger for now thanks for all your suggestions xz

I bought a book from the works just called the knitting book and it teaches you step by step. I am still a beginner, just knitting squares at the mo to make a cover

Thanks very much I'll need to have a look at that. I've wanted to learn how to knit for years but finally going to do it this year. Is it quite simple once you get into it? X

It's simple learning how to cast on, cast off and once you know the knit stitch and the pearl stitch you can do different patterns. I can't make shapes yet though or button holes x

I find thicker needles and thicker wools better as you can knit things a lot quicker. Thin ones can take a while xx
