    Activity Points On WW?

What are activity points? What do you use them for? Does everyone use them?

I try as much as possible not to use my activity points but track them none the less. It helps me be aware of how much exercise I am doing in a week and see if it makes a difference in my weight loss.

I don't use them, or track them, or even wanna know how many activity points I get from each activity. I'm trying to exercise as an extra to get fit, not so that I can eat more, that's what the 49 are for, and I think if I knew how many activity points I'd gained, I'd feel like I could eat more. Everyone's different tho x

Thank you for the reply, I think I'll be the same with activity points and just think if I do extra activities then hopefully it's a bonus towards a loss, I know if I knew how many i had I'd always say well I've got this many from doing that so doing the activity would seem pretty pointless to me lol

I was going to start a new thread, but thought i may just hijack this one

Talking of activity points, is there a point when the more activity points you earn but dont use become detrimental to weight loss?

Ive been an online member for nearly 4 weeks so its still early days, but last week i earnt 50activity points, this coupled with unused weekly points of 49 and i just wondered if this can go against you. I was always under the impression that if you did a certain amount of exercise you needed to make sure you were getting enough calories to sustain it, if that makes sense. Im eating all my daily allowence, just!

As an online member i dont have a leader to ask so thought the best place would be here. I have the books from a previous (shortlived) attempt and i cant seem to find anything in there.

    Thank you x

From what I've read all day most people use all of their daily points and make themselves break into the 49 extra which they say stops your body going into 'starvation mode' so they lose more weight, I hope this makes sense lol, I'm choosing to track my exercise but not calculate any points and hope this works, maybe if you just have a little biccy or something just to use all of your daily allowance x

I track mine as I read that WW suggest that you earn 28 activity points per week to maximise weight loss. However, I don't use any of them...

I'm struggling to find an exercise I enjoy/ want to do, anybody got any suggestions?
How many hours would typically build 28 activity points, x

Yeah I saw them. It really annoyed me when people on here are asking genuine questions and trying to lose weight. At least they are gone all being well

Re exercise... I really enjoy walking but the hubby isn't that bothered unless there is a pub at the end of it ;-) We got a dog 18 months ago and I am forced to take him out come rain of shine. I love it, I get sooooo much thinking time!

It really depends on how energetic the activity is as to how many AP's you earn. I never really eat my AP's so I never work them out x

I like to mix it up a bit, I've got a strider machine that I try to do around 20 minutes when I use it, I also used to love body combat before I had children but where I'm restricted I load up videos on YouTube if I fancy a go, or I will have a little go on the wii in the evening when the kids are in bed, I've also got a fitness DVD that I'll do bits of... I seriously lack motivation lol but I find trying 1 exercise when you've got the energy can get boring

That's why dog walking is good for me as I have no motivation to do home exercise DVD's! My hubby bought me a wi fit but I used it once and sold it for an xbox kinect but again I think I used it twice, that's how much I lack motivation! I have got the 30 day shred but I lose interest in that after about 4-5 days!

Long dog walks are the way forward for me! x
