New to ww, 24 stone and struggling

Hi, I'm pretty new to this site. I'm 22, 24 stone (5ft10) and I have pcos. I'm on 54 points a day which I'm sure to many of you seems massive, but I really struggle to create proper meals especially to take to work. I've been trying weight watchers for a while but not stuck to it but I'm feeling motivated now. Would be great if anyone could suggest foods etc that helped for you

Hiya - I joined a week ago and I downloaded a load of recipes from WeightWatchers - some of them are really simple to make and if you make enough you can take leftovers to work. I also did a big shop through Asda & ordered a load of ready prepared soups etc to save me time (I have a 17 month old so time is hard to find), in group last week I bought a book called shop too, it lists loads of stuff & the points values, I think the key for me is planning ahead & having quick stuff in just in case something happens & I haven't got time (or energy) to actually cook something. Poundland are good for WW stuff too, the bolognese sauce in a jar is lovely.

My diary is posted if you want to have alook at what I have eaten this week.

Good luck, hope you do well x

The food that's been my lifesaver is Meringue nests topped with tinned fruit. 2 meringue nests for three pro points and tinned fruit for zero pro points! Lovely!
Good luck! I'm sure you will do great!

Welcome and good luck, have a look at some of the diaries for tips on what to have for lunch/dinner. For lunch i generally have toast, cheese spread and tomatoes and a yoghurt or soups. If i make a cottage pie, curry or lasagne etc i freeze portions and bring them for lunch or dinner too. You could make up salads with pasta or couscous as you have the points to use with crackers. Also you could make jacket potatos

Thankyou I started a new post I think lol I'm only using the app and got a bit confused! But I've been keeping a diary on the other one. I've stuck to it everyday until tonight when I had a doner kebab from the chippy! I had 30 daily points left and 30 something weeklies so think I've not gone over! Still feeling motivated though x

I started at over 24st and found the huge amount of points (started on 52pps, now on 46) really scary at first, but a few months in I'm able to use them quite easily now, lol! I'd say to try not to go into full 'diet' mode and still have ordinary food, just less of it, still eat normal bread and pasta, full fat cheese, etc, then reduce it as your points reduce.

Also try not to see having a kebab as 'not sticking to it', you chose to use your points for a 'treat', but you still stuck to the plan, the points are there for you to use.

I find it easier to break down the amount I have to lose into smaller chunks, I started aiming for my 5% and I'm now heading towards my 10%, hopefully by Christmas, it's much less daunting to aim to lose 17lb than to lose 13 stone.

How did you get on at weigh-in last week? Hope you're still okay, let us know. x

Hi all, sorry I haven't been on for weeks had a rough couple of weeks and have been working ridiculously long hours at work not been getting home til midnight. I'm rubbish at this dieting thing! After finishing work at 11:45 I've been going to McDonald's as I've been starving by that time. I lost 5lbs my first week doing ww then I weighed myself today and burst into tears. I'm my heaviest at 24st10lbs and feel disgusting. I know it's just before Xmas but I'm feeling motivated now! I've been off work today and I find it so much easier to point when I'm off work, when I'm at work I get so hungry!
I'm going to keep a food diary on here also, would be great if anyone has any pointers for me

Today I skipped breakfast as I didn't wake up til 11!
Lunch- mushroom and chicken risotto 11pp
    Wotsits 3pp
    Dinner- 2 gammon steaks 9pp
    Pineapple 0pp
    2 potato waffles 5pp
    Snacks anytime- chicken 6pp
    Chomp 3pp
    Fudge 3pp
Ww toffee and vanilla whirls 2pp

    43/56
Thanks once again for the support xx
