HI all :wave_cry:
I'm so sick of being overweight.
I flitter from WW to SW to group to online and I just cant seem to stick to anything.
Been "following" online for a while but thinking of going back to group as I like to have someone weigh me as I feel I have to stick to it more if that makes sense.
I go through stages of being really motivated and doing well then I loose interest and put all the weight back on again.

Does anyone have any magic answers as to how to stick to it and be a looser??

Thanks for reading :)

I really think that sometimes it just clicks. get to class if you know that's what suits you and come on here whenever you feel like giving up. We all go through it that's why we are here. good luck.x

Hiya
I've done the very same as you. Both plans are fantastic but I find i want to go to SW when I've had enough of weighing and then want to swap back to WW where I have a week where following the SW rules don't fit with my current life.

I've decided that I'm for me generally WW is better for my life style.

I believe you need to look at the pro's and cons for both plans and decide which one suits you and what are you prepared to do to make the plan you choose to work!

I always say my top tips for staying on plan

1) Plan for the week - this doesn't mean you have to work out all the points for the whole week. It's simply look at what is in store for the week ahead, figure where best your weeklies could be used and plot your meals so least you have a fair idea what you're going to have

2) Track - Im a total advocate for this and it's the one thing that has always helped me lose weight. I'm currently using a app which counts down my pp so makes life so easier.

3) have what you want - this is obviously within your dailys but personally I've found having the substitutes don't work as I always want luxury so now i simply have luxury but just less.

4) be honest with yourself - losing weight isn't easy. We all need to work hard to get it off. We have to honestly accept the fact and work at it.
Plus don't try and cheat yourself with counting points you may trick the tracker but you're body knows the truth and it will give you the appropriate result good or bad.

You need to look honestly at yourself. You want to lose weight there's no questions there but are you prepared to do what it takes? If deep down its really no sadly you will never be successful.

I hope this post doesn't sound preachey that's not my intention its just my honest view

Good luck

hey i was the same, hopping from plan to plan. I got to 19 stone 12 and decided enough was enough. I had only done ww online before so i found a class that fitted in with my life and started it. I stay to class every week and i think it is that that has kept me going. I have lost every week and i am really enjoying the plan. I feel as if i have the best of both worlds with ww at the moment as if i feel like pointing i can but i can also have filling and healthy days if i don't want to point and i love that i have weekly points too. Sometimes i think something has to click in your head, like i hit 19.12 and didn't want to get to 20 stone. Plus my weight was making me ill. i just couldnt take anymore. You should decide which plan fits into your life and then decide what works best for you, class or online xx

So glad I'm not the only one! Have been doing both and lost over 8 stone on the old WW points plan. I couldn't into propoints so joined SW and am now starting we online on 2nd of Jan! Hoping to really get on with it. Going to start on the simple start and see how I go.
Good luck and happy new year!!
X

I'm the same, I'm flit between ww, calorie counting and just healthy eating, but ww has given me best results so time to stick to that. I'm restarting Monday 30th dec and cannot wait. Good luck xx

Dont put too much pressure on yourself. I woukd try diets that really restricted what I ate and lasted a bit on them but just gave up as I was craving a kitkat or a packet of crisps. For me WW has meant I can eat what I want without feeling guilty as long as I track... for me it's the tracking that has worked it gets me thinking about what I'm eating and whether my points are worth it!!!

I've found on here great for support. Maybe take some time and think about why you want to lose weight and write it down then when you feel unmotivated read it through to inspire you again.

I'm the same Alana i always start with good intentions and then always give up within a few weeks. I'm going to start ww again from home in the new year. I'm a bridesmaid in June so that will give me enough motivation to stick to it i hope!! Good luck we can do this :) xx

Thanks everyone for all the advice. Looking forward to group on thursday and have already started tracking after all the crimbo eating!
Just hope my motivation stays with me!!
