WW Simple Start

Hi Lovelies

I was just wondering how everyone was finding this, and if there were any good blogs/recipes on here at all ?

Ive joined WW last night, and this Simple Start is all new to me (far too much like SW which I didn't get on with), but I arrived at the meeting a bit late and the leader didn't really go through it with me as such (it was ''this is what you can eat, this is how big your portions should be, read the book and ring me if you need me but I do work full time and this is only my hobby'' )

I'm a bit lost to be honest, I'm working late shifts this week so had a super quick shop on the way home, and I'm trying to read through my simple start book now (is that all they give you these days ?) but I want to know I'm doing it right, plus recipes always come in handy!

Thanks in Advance

When I was starting I found it explained it very well on the Weight Watchers site https://www.weightwatchers.co.uk/util/art/index_art.aspx?tabnum=1&art_id=98952

The above link also has links to download the Filling & Healthy Food List, Meal Planner,
Extra Treat List and Shopping List...same as in your book.

I cooked as usual for the family and I avoided anything that was not on the list.

I will do my best to explain it...basically you can eat as much as you want to satisfaction from the Filling & Healthy Food list on page 6 of your book and on top of that you can have 2 extra treats a day from the treat list is on page 9...on page 8 you have unlimited flavour boosters and drinks. If it is on the list you can have it.

Thanks Mini - and apologies for me getting back to you so late!

I managed the week of SS, but only lost 1/2 lb - to be fair I was really surprised with that as I struggled like hell. Anyhow, I went onto points the next week, and lost 2lb! Clearly points is for me. I find it so much easier on days that I'm working and rushing round, as being organised on those days isn't always the easiest.

I'm going to have a mooch about in the WW forums to see whats happening.

Thanks again for the support, its really appreciated

I did Simple Start last week and lost 3.5lbs I was over the moon as I just came over from Slimming World.
This week I am on Filling & Healthy.

If you check out the official Weight Watchers website there is a free food list/drinks/flavour boosters and treat list which is all really useful. There is also a 7 day meal plan which I looked at for ideas too.
My meals have been quite similar to SW apart from now I can enjoy bread products freely which I absolutely love.

Hey Everyone, I got to Goal with PP last year but circumstance has meant I have lost focus. I'm considering trying SS or F&H, any thoughts from anyone? X

do you get the 49 weekly points with simple start?

Nope, you get 2 Treats from the Designated List. With F&H, you get the same 'normal' food list but you have your 49 Weeklies to play with. I suspect 2 Extras a Day/14 Extras a Week would add up to 49pp but it's for people who don't understand or know PP yet. X

It says in the app that instead of the 2 treats per day you can have 49 weeklies. But you can't mix it up. So you do one or the other.

Hi All,

I'm fairly new to the site and on Saturday I went to my first Weight Watchers Meeting, however last Wednesday was my last weigh in at Slimming World! It just wasn't working for me so I decided to make the switch.

The above information is extremely helpful so thank you all (I know I am a bit late to the thread!)

Could anyone suggest any favourite meals on Filling and Healthy for me? I am trying to switch it up from the meals I got so used to having on Slimming World but am struggling a tad!

LittleHippo - Well done on the weight loss after the switch, I am a bit worried because I never ate bread or anything on slimming world because I didn't want to use all of my Syns on it and I am worried that introducing things such as Crumpets and the Sandwich thins etc into my diet will cause a gain? Did you have any issues with swapping over?

Thank you ladies :)
