Eating in restaurants when you don't know the exact PPs

As the title says, do you estimate? I went to a lovely independent Italian restaurant that doesn't have calorie info on their site. I've looked in my WW eating out book and according to 4 various Italian places, spaghetti bolognaise varies between 13 and 18 PPs. Shall I take an average and hope for the best or go for the highest value to be safe?

It's not easy is it? At my little local Italian they know I've been ordering the minestrone or sometimes the starter pasta as a main course as part of my weight loss efforts and they're supportive but they also think its highly amusing.

As a general rule I do use the higher PP guide to be safe, and if possible remember to also eat the side salad and/or veg to help fill you up. But in the end one meal or even one meal a week isn't going to what I waeck your efforts as are aware of what you're eating and its not just for the sake of it. If the portion is huge you can leave it when you're "full" or ask for a doggie bag. One thing that has helped me decide if I want a certain thing going out is to always make sure you have a glass of water before ordering anything, even if you have alcohol along side it as well.
