Newbie!

Hello all!

Started weightwatchers 4 weeks ago with the online plan and i've got 8 1/2 stone to loose (sounds scary I know!)

If anyone has any great tips would be greatly appreciated :)

8 and a half stone does sound scary. Then i realise thats around about how much i needed to lose when i first stared WWs, and it suddenly doesnt sound quite as scary.

The one tip i have might be obvious, but track every single crumb that enters your mouth. Dont get into the habit of thinking 'hmm, its just one small biscuit. I wont bother tracking that!'

also, bananas make great snacks. They are filling, but 0 points. :)
 
Welcome, and all the best with your weight loss! Do you have the phone app? I am finding it addictive and so helpful to track everything i eat rather than logging onto the website.
 
Yeah I 2nd the "every single crumb" through your mouth, including anything like milk in tea or coffee or non sugar free squash.

See if you can break your overall weight loss into smaller targets to treat yourself. The online esource gives you a marker for every 7+ , so celebrate those.

Make sure you mix it up with food selection and don't let yourself get bored, check out people's diaries for inspiration.

At this stage eat all or most of your weeklies if possible, it doesn't make weigh loss much (if any slower) at your stage and it will help with reducing portion sizes later on if you need to.

Remember to bulk out your meals with veg as much as possible to keep you full and make the most of zero PP foods.

What a good idea to check out people's food diaries for inspiration...I'm a bit 'boring' when it comes down to cooking as it's only me in the house and need to make most of the free points

Yeah the app is great! I thought was doing ok jotting down everything on there...till I've just looked back and realised i've gone all weekend without tracking!!! ARGH!

Off to the shop to buy ALL the fruit and veg now ;) xx
