I started off the day in a brilliant mood after weighing in, but for some reason my mood has dropped right off tonight...I feel quite down in the dumps actually.

I replaced my 9.5 planned dinner with 2 slices of toast and a couple of packets of crisps because I just didn't fancy the dinner I'd made and couldn't be bothered to make anything else, BUT, I have still stuck to my points so it's not as bad as it sounds.

I haven't really done any exercise this week so tomorrow I'm going to take my little girl out for a walk in her pushchair - even if it's just an hour it's better than nothing, and it will at least get me out this house for a bit! I need to try and incorporate some exercise into my diet but I'm just soooo lazy, I find it hard to get motivated!

Anyway, tomorrow is another day eh, hope everyone else is getting on ok.

End of day 8 for me today and I'm STILL sticking 101% to my diet! It's a record!

I really really really am gonna do it this time!

I was flicking through a new summer catalogue today mentally picking out my new wardrobe for the summer, it really encouraged me to stick at it. This summer I will buy clothes I actually like instead of just clothes that cover me up and hide my many sins...woo hooo! I was even considering ordering myself a nice short skirt in a size 12 to hang on my wardrobe...could help!!?

Sometimes that works well as an incentive, it can backfire tho, if you dont make it will it demoralise you and put you off your stride??

Why not pick out your fave outfit from the catalogue, cut it out and stick it on your fridge door.... might sound mad but itll make you think twice

I think I might do that Sandy! I have a 'fat photo' up that I look at every day. Clothes wise I still have a suitcase full of clothes that I was able to wear 4 years ago in size 12. To be honest I don't find them motivating. I do however, find the thought of going shopping at Easter for new clothes very motivating and exciting. So a picture from a catalogue might well be the way to go!

Good idea. When I feel my will power fading I do quite often grab a catalogue and have a flick through, it usually reminds me why I'm doing this and makes it easier to stick to.

Bad day! Bad day! Bad day!

I'm struggling tonight, I've used all my points (mostly on snack foods and icecream - comfort foods following a minor upset with my idiot of a fella!) and now I'm sat in on my own (baby's in bed and HE's over the pub - again! ) trying desperately not to blow my diet and eat everything I can get my hands on!!

Usually when my fella goes out at the weekend I order in a pizza for myself and enjoy that with a bottle of wine, but being on ww means I can't do that, and because he went out on a bad note tonight I'm REALLY craving my wine and comfort foods...oh!!!

It's not very busy on here tonight (probably because it's Friday night - with me being a relatively new mum and being home most of the time I forget other people actually go out at the weekends, lol!) so it I can't even keep myself occupied on here...maybe I'll have a blitz of the house or something, anything to keep me from eating!

Weighed in today - 1lb off.

I can't pretend I'm not disappointed, but I should have expected it after my 'blip' on Monday - I went 13 points over my allowance! I did manage to make up for 7 of those yesterday, but that still left me 6 points over for the week, so I shouldn't be surprised.

It would be easy to give up today - I can't think of anything I'd like more than a nice big fat portion of fish and chips from the chippy (mmm!!)....apart from being slim!!! SO, I'm going to promise myself to start exercising with my diet this week and I'm going to aim for a really good loss next week.

So, all in all I'm still 6lb down (thanks to my good loss last week) so that's nearly half a stone in 2 weeks - I can't complain at that!

Onward and upward...or should I say onward and downward, lol.

Week 3 starts today...this is going to be a BRILLIANT week, I can just feel it!!

Well done Marie, that's a really good loss. Well done for keeping going after the blip the other day! It's so impressive that you've not let it ruin it for you! Just one of many things that make me believe that this is 'the' time for you to get down to goal! Keep up the fantastic work!

I'm feeling a bit fed up today. I had a sneaky peak on the scales this morning and they're just not budging! When I've done ww before I used to 'be good' for 5-6 days of the week and then pig out for 1-2 days of the week (usually weigh day involved lots of crisps, chocolate and a takeaway 'to celebrate') and when I was doing that I was losing weight faster than I am now! How is that right?!!

Anyway, I decided that instead of giving up (which I know I will if I don't pick it up a bit) I'm going to get a gym membership and start swimming.

I had a gym membership before and barely used it, it was shameful, and although it's a 'gym membership' I really want if mostly for the swimming. I didn't want to go swimming until I'd lost a bit of weight, but it seems I can't wait that long so I'm just going to have to grin and bare it - and hope I don't scare too many people with my cellulite and stretchmarks! I've just ordered myself a swimming costume - which will be here tomorrow - and then I just need to find a gym membership that I can afford. I'm not holding off though, as soon as my costume arrives I'm going to start going to the adult swimming (lengths) and I'll just pay as I go until I join up properly.

My fella keeps asking me when we're going to take our little girl swimming and I keep putting it off because I just can't bare the thought of him seeing me in a costume! But my mum bought my daughter her first swim-suit last weekend so now I'm struggling to think of good excuses not to go....I would LOVE to feel comfortable taking her swimming with her daddy, but I'm just too embarrassed, I wouldn't enjoy it - in fact I can almost guarantee that I'd end up in floods of tears and wouldn't even get in the pool if we went now anyway, so I really really really need to sort myself out because it's affecting my whole family - my weight is literally stopping us enjoying our little girl as much as we could be, that's not fair on anyone. I do feel so guilty

I need to do this for me, for my fella, for my little girl and for my family as a whole - I WILL GET THIS WEIGHT OFF, I'M DETERMINED!!

Oh sweetie, good on you for being so determined. But I know EXACTLY how you feel!

I'm also sticking to it 110% and nothing is budging... My scales even had me down as putting on a lb today! Although I think/hope that that's because I got weighed after having breakfast and coffee.

Before it was the same for me - stick to it for 3 or 4 days, then pig out/cheat and lost weight... Now I'm sticking to it every day and it's not budging! It doesn't make sense does it?? I'm giving it until the end of the month. If it hasn't moved by then, then I might consider having a day off every week and see how that goes. I think being 'relaxed' about it helps. I read somewhere that when we stress about our weight loss, our brain gives off a hormone that causes us to not lose anything... But it's difficult not to stress myself about it when it's so important to me.

I'm going to up my exercise and walk more, but I have to admit I am really concerned. Having said that some times people on LL or CD even have weeks where they stay the same, imagine how disheartening that is!

I don't really know what to say except please keep trying... Give it until the end of the month. There appears to be a few of us in the same position at the moment. I think BurtBird is another staying the same even though she's being ever so good.

Good luck with the swimming. I know what you mean about being worried about being 'seen'... But to quote a book I bought recently 'Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway'. I always find I end up really worrying about something, and when it comes to it, it's no where near as bad as I thought it would be.

<<Big Hugs>> for you!

Hi Marie,

You have lost 6lbs in two weeks which is very good overall and if you can lose another 6lbs. in the next two weeks that is 12lbs....just 2lbs. off 14lbs. = 1 stone!!!

When you think about that weight loss compared to a vlcd it is very good as the guide lines for weight loss on a vlcd after the initial first week or so is about 3lbs. a week or less as time goes on. The average a month long term is 6-8lbs.

So I think you need to be gentle with yourself and give yourself some credit for doing so well.

On the swimming front I too would love to go swimming but feel too self conscious.

If your partner is willing to go swimming with you and your daughter I think you should jump at the chance as this is something my husband regrets that he did not spend more time doing fun things with myself and our son when our son was young. The years go so fast and you have to grab this precious time now.

I'm not going to droan on and bore people with the ins and outs of my diet, but I just wanted to make a note that I am really loving weight watchers at the moment! I'm finding it really easy to stick to, I'm feeling really positive about losing the weight and I can't wait to weigh in on Wednesday!
