single mum, with cats, and a mental health diagnosis

hellloooo, here is my diary thread.

i started half way through the day yesterday so today will be my full day

and so far i have had, a bowl of special k for breakfast, a no fat milkshake for snack and a tesco light choices spagetti and meatballs for lunch with a weight watchers yoghurt for pudding.

i did not take a tablet at breakfast because i wasnt sure there was enough fat in it. also im concerned as my fat intake for lunch was only 12g and i wonder how or if to eat the other 4g

i took a tablet with my lunch though

yesterday i weighed 105kg and this is not exceptable for me, heres to a healthier life

Hi hon you don't have to eat 15g per meal, I definitely don't (normally only have about 20g all day) so it'll be fine.... Sounds like a good day so far x

Sometimes you need to eat more in the daytime to keep you going in the afternoons.... I don't eat til about 8pm now whereas I used to have my tea at 6 & was picking by 830 hence why I got so overweight.... And try bulking ready meals out with veg, I have about 5 different ones to fill me up x

Hi, Kinley and welcome. Remember you don't have to eat any amount of fat, 15g per meal is the maximum, but any amount below that is fine so don't worry.
We all have difficult times in our day, mine is about 4 or 5pm and then the evening once I get the kids to bed. Do you use Free Calorie Counter, Diet & Exercise Journal | MyFitnessPal.com at all? You can keep track of your calories there, they will tell you how much you should have for your height and weight, then you will be able to save some of those calories for your danger times. Good luck!

    thanks for the advice all

tonight i had 2 jacket potatoes and a full tin of beans, even thou i ate all that it was still a minimum fat meal.

*tip alert* i was worried how i would have a jacket without the dreaded butter/spread but i mashed them using a fork and a little skimmed milk, it made such a difference, and some pepper helped it have some more flavour

with it being so low in fat im thinking i shouldnt of really took my tablet and took it later in the evening if i end up snacking

i think special k is going to be my saviour to be honest

yesterday was also a big step for me as i told my doctor about my binge eating, he was the first person i ever told and now i feel like ive admitted it and i can start dealing with it

Well done on admitting it then, you can move on from here. I always take my xenical with meals (lunch and dinner anyway) as there is always a certain amount of fat and it does hang around in your system for the rest of the day (and for up to 48 hours after the last one!!) so don't worry about the snacks, they'll be covered.

thank you, i do feel some relief now that its out and feel like telling all lol

im going to consider eating more at breakfast time, i have always been good at having breakfast, its very rare that i miss it, altough i just have a bowl of cereal, i might start adding some hot food too like mushroom on toast or tom on toast etc to help fill me up more of the day.

will be starting back at zumba monday nights after christmas break, and one of the school mums and i are going to go roller skating tuesday night and pick some activites in the week too, movement, movement, movement lol
