So I started following slimming world at home on Tuesday! Today during a routine pcos appointment with my doctor he's suggested I try xenical for three months! He's stipulated that I have to lose 10% of my weight in three months and go for monthly weigh ins in these 3 months!

I'm hoping these work, after reading done of the threads on here I'm hoping to unleash the skinny woman hiding within me!

Took my first blue tablet about 7 just after my tea, which was a grilled chicken salad.

From the threads on here everyone seems very supportive! Here's to the beginning of my journey and hopefully making friends on here along the way!

Good luck, hon. How much are you hoping to lose? :) xx

I've set a mini goal at 238 pounds, on Tuesday I was 321 pounds! Once I've got to 238 I will re evaluate! I thought I would break it up to 2 goals then the end wouldn't seem so far away! X

Good idea. I was just 20lbs lighter than you at 301lbs when I started, and am now just under 180lbs, so it can definitely be done. :) xx

Thanks Tracy, how long did it take you? Any pointers you can give are greatly received xx

Well just been shopping to plan the weekends meals! This morning I had a home made fruit salad, really enjoyed this probably due to eating it in the garden! (I'm off work now till the 15th) lunch was a grilled chicken breast with salad! For tea I've got friends round for a BBQ so going to have a home made chicken kebab and possibly a sweet potato jacket!

I'm feeling good so far, only had three tablets since I got the yesterday, no side effects yet!

Aloe vera can be bought from a Heath food shop. The cranberry version is better :)

Well so far I've been calorie counting for 23 months, and I think I lost about six stone in the first year and the rest a bit more slowly since then. I'm almost where I want to be now, so I'm just taking each half pound or so as it comes! I've basically just counted calories, along with the Orlistat, gradually improving my eating habits I've gone along, rather than all at once. I'd just say count your calories, watch the fat levels, but most importantly eat things you enjoy so you don't feel deprived (of course if you only enjoy pizza and chips that could be a problem, lol). :) xx

I'm allergic to cheese so pizza is out for me anyway! I like chips I wouldn't be the size if I didn't like the wrong foods! If I fancy them I'm just gonna use sweet potatoes and fry light! Cokes my worst enemy! I could drink 3 litres a day and think nothing of it! Since Tuesday I have switched to a 500ml bottle of diet coke a day and water!

Today I bought some lemons and limes, they are currently marinating a jug of water as we speak! Just to give it a little flavour!

If you carry on eating the way you are then you shouldn't get the side effect... I always refer to it as "the consequence" rather than a side effect ..lol.. Have a good bar b q... sounds lovely! ! :)

Lol, pity I'm not allergic to cheese. Having said that, I don't eat it that often now, though I have started having the Babybel Light to get a bit of dairy into my diet, as I was a bit lacking since I really cut back on yogurts. Chips I can take or leave, fortunately, and mostly leave. Anything with mashed potato is my carb weakness! :) xx

Well BBQ finished! Feeling quite pleased with myself! 2 diet cokes with vodka, plenty of iced citrus water, my pregnant friend loved this too! Two homemade chicken kebabs on skewers with mushrooms peppers and onions, a side salad and a corn on cob!

Thought I would be tempted but seemed to not bother me! The only thing bothering me right now is the washing up! Note to self! Next time use disposable plates bowls cutlery etc!

Well day three on xenical is nearly over! Not eaten much today due to the weather! To be honest I've only eaten so I can take my tablets!

Tomorrow is usually takeaway night and would love to go to my mums and participate but I will be staying well clear for the time being! I think in a few weeks once I've got to grasps with the food I don't have a consequence with I will have a takeaway night at mine but I will cook! It's more of an excuse for mum to have the family round!

If any of you have some no consequence recipes for Indian style curries please let me know!

Hope you're all having a brill weekend in the sun x

Just cook the curry using lean meat, so beef not lamb, or chicken breast. Add it all to the pot no oil and add tomatoes water spices etc and bobs your uncle ;)

I have a recipe for a beef curry that I do no prob with out oil :) I will post a pic of it.. Sorry naan is out ... But check the chapati fat content or roti plain rice ...

If you can use fry light oil spray instead of oil your do fine :)

Thanks Hun! I only have vegi curries anyway! So may try making one in the week! I will make the others chicken or lamb but the same way I make mine!
