This has probably been asked a million times before....

I am on my 2nd real attempt at atkins. I am almost 17 stone and want to lose 7 stone. The way I like to work is by aiming for goals. I am going to stay on induction for a while. I know everyone is different and I also know that this time works, so can I ask what your average weekly and also starting weight loss was on induction?

Id really appreciate your input and any advice would be great

Hiya, Im fairly new to Atkins, and I am just finishing week 2 of Induction, I lost 7lb on my first week and Im hoping to lose maybe another couple of lbs this week (weigh in days are sundays) so Im not able to offer much advice from experience Im afraid but Im loving it so far, and finding it fairly easy although Im struggling with my sweet tooth at the moment. Im going to stay on induction as long as possible as I want to lose 2 stone in the next 4 weeks, so have a big challenge on my hands! Good luck x
 
Hi there, I am just on my first day now. I worry though that I am not eating the right things...
 
Not sure if this helps at all, but a typical days food for me is:

Breakfast - Egg mayo (3 or 4 eggs) with bacon (4 or 5 rashers)
Snack - Ham (lean, no carbs) and philadelphia (original, full fat)
Lunch - 2 chicken breasts with mayo
Snack - Tuna or cheese (or both) with cucumber
Dinner - Cauliflower mash (with butter and cheese) with any meat (lamb, pork, salmon). One of my favourites is lamb chops dipped in egg and then covered in milled flaxseed (which is really good for you!) I also try to eat spinach at every meal as its good for digestion (if you know what I mean...) and I also drink a lot of peppermint tea throughout the day too.

They say diet fizzy drinks can stall your loss but to be honest I have at least 2/3 cans a day as I have a real sweet tooth and used to eat 2-3 choc bars a day and so far Ive been ok with this but if my weight loss stalls then obviously I will have to change this.

Im creating a little list on my phone of recipes that I can try, such as creamy mushroom sauce, creamy peppercorn sauce, celeriac chips etc, theres lots to experiment with which is good, otherwise I might get a little bored.

Today I have had a cheese omelette for breakfast
babybel cheese
1 crab stick and 1 slice of ham
lunch 2 lamb chops with brocolli and a bovril gravy
tea tuna and egg salad

what do u reckon?
 
Of course, Im am only on my 12th day so I am looking for new foods/recipes all the time.

Today looks good, only couple of things to check is the bovril gravy, what is the carb content like for this? I have not had it before and therefore have no idea, but I know normal gravy is pretty high in carbs, and also the salad, things like tomatoes are very high and also onions can stall weight loss too and so I try to avoid these, salad items I only really eat is celery, peppers (but not many), a small amount of spring onions, lettuce and cucumber - I think that is all?? Boring I know.

My dinner last night I put into a big ceramic dish, it was leeks, celery, spring onion, peppers and spinach and it was all green!!! I know they say greens are good for you, but it was ridiculous, I did laugh at myself at the time. I then put my pork chops on top and cooked in the oven for about 20-30mins, and I had that with mushroom sauce (salt pepper mushrooms garlic and double cream) and it was super tasty :)

Definitely sounds like youre on the right track!! :) x

Yes I lost 7lb last week, and I am due to weigh myself sunday, then I will have been on it for 2 weeks by then! I am hoping I have lost more this week as my clothes are definitely fitting better and arent as tight anymore, which is a lovely feeling. I have been really good (for me anyway) and I've not even had a peep during the week at my weight, Im literally sticking to the weekend only for my weigh-ins and avoiding it during the week. On all other diets, I have been obsessed. weigh at least once a day, which is no good as weight fluctuates all the time.
Im can't wait for this weeks weigh in and as soon as you start seeing your results you will feel the same! When will your weigh in days be?x
 
well i started on a Tuesday so will just weigh then. im on my 2nd day and feeling a belly ache with constipation oww!!! i don't feel like im in ketosis yet tho but my hunger has reduced. i have eaten a fair bit of fat today and i think its filled me up

i did start Tuesday but had to drink lucuzade for a medical reason so i restarted Thursday x
