Gettin' thinner.... slowly but surely!

Hi Guys! Hope I'm posting in the right place - I'm not new to minimins, but new to calorie counting. Have tried slimming world and weight watchers (WW only briefly), got on well with SW but not so much WW then one day it dawned on me that if I take in less calories that I burn, I will loose weight! Simple as that. So for the last couple of weeks I have been cc'ing, keeping at about 1200 a day - sometimes going over if there's a night out etc and have lost approx 1lb a week. Perhaps not as fast as I would like, but I feel like I'm learning new habits.

Going to start writing what I eat here, I don't imagine for one second that anyone will get any meal inspiration from it in the next couple of weeks as I am moving back home from uni halls next Friday and commuting to London 3 days a week for the next month in a bid to save money!

I already write it down on paper, but I feel like it would be a good thing to write it where other people can see it as well!

Sorry I went on a bit - P.S. I have approx 5 stones to lose, but am aiming for a target size of 14 and I'll see how I feel when I get there ( that's 2 dress sizes) I know it's still technically "overweight" for my body etc but I do in the long run want to be smaller than that -it's just I have a really nice pair of size 14 shorts I used to be able to get into and would like to again for nights out and stuff! (with tights, I might add!)

Thanks for bearing with me...

Erin :wavey:

(another) p.s. banana and a chocolate mousse (80 cals though) for breakfast - not such a good start!

I am trying to use up all of the stuff in my cupboards and fridges - so be prepared for some odd food combinations!

Just new to it, lost two stone on weight watchers. Have gotten fed up with it so trying to lose final few pounds with cc! Feels alot more free than ww and I'm eating alot more food yet still sticking to my cals which is great! X

update: Had a warbutons square(ish wrap with low fat mozerella, passata, dried herbs and a tiiiiny bit of olive oil and garlic salt for lunch.... then a packet of sainsburys basics crisps.

total for the day so far: 460

that's great! I think it sounds more daunting than it is, you definitely realise you can have more than you thought, it's just about excersing self control -which is where I fall down.

Sounds yum! Yeah it is about self control, but I think at the beginning have little treats instead of totally eradicating them. That's why I lost on ww I still had my crisps and chocolate, albeit in lower cal forms ha but thats what kept me on the wagon. I wasn't deprived of treats. But now as my weightloss is coming off slower and much harder to get decent losses in trying to cut the crisps etc to try and spark a loss again.
I'm trying to get the stage of having 5 days mon-fri really well behaved, little junk as possible and then relaxing a bit on weeked...something which I can hopefully maintain on :)

X

dinner tonight was pretty nondescript - pasta, tuna a tiiiiiiny bit of lighter than light mayo and some lemon juice.
Total for the day: 1226
According to MFP I have 4 calories left over! Maybe I'll indulge in a celery stick lol!

Also, loving MFP telling me if everyday were like today I'll have lost 10lbs by 28th April - that's so motivational!

I know what you mean, I think it's all about learning new ways to eat - I'm trying to incorporate little treats into the day so I don't feel like I'm dieting as such.. we'll see how it goes!
