Hi everyone!

I've got loads of weight to lose about 4 stone:eek: and have joined the boots diet for calorie counting. So far I'm not doing too bad, but what I'm really struggling with is the evenings when I want snacks. Has anyone got any ideas for low calorie snacks please, I do really well in the day and then let myself down come the evening?

Thanks.

Skips crisps! 82 calories for a multipack bag.

Mini milks are sweet and yummy and 30 calories

Bananas are filling and 100 calories

Alpen light bars feel like a treat and are 70 cals and contain lots of fibre so they're good for you.

Home made potato wedges, or sweet potato or butternut squash chips.

Thanks moonlights, skips and mini milks it'll be then. I've just got to find a way to hide them from the kids!!lol:)

If you want something that lasts a bit longer, I buy the Nestle Pick a Pack cereal packs, 8 small boxes of assorted cereals. I put one or two boxes into a plastic container and nibble on them at work and in the evening. Just a couple of hundred calories, but lasts for ages. I've lost over four stone so far.

Hi Lilli,

I know exactly what you mean. I LOVE my snacks and wouldn't be able to diet without them.

Skips are actually 76cals (hope you don't mind me correcting! :) Good because it's less calories though!)
Pink n whites (50cals)
Weightwatchers oaty mini chocolate chip cookies (87cals)
Flake Treatsize (76cals)
Sainsburys low calorie hot chocolate (36cals)
Hartley's sugar free strawberry/raspberry jelly (The whole sachet which makes a whole pint is only 32 calories! Although this makes about 4 snacksize portions of jelly, 8cals each)
Dairy Milk thin bar, 21g (110cals)
5 cadbury mini eggs (73cals)
Milkyway bar 21.9g (98cals)
Fruit pastille mini pack (67cals)
Curly wurly (115cals)
Aero mini bar (50cals)
Mini smarties treatsize (67cals)
Maoam giant stripe (71cals)
Butterkist toffee popcorn snack pack (105cals)
Creme egg minis ice cream cone (70cals)

Can you tell I like my snacks! Haha. Feel free to correct me if any of the cals are wrong! xx

That post's 2 years old, hon, so maybe the calories for Skips was correct then? That was a trip down memory lane for me, reading my two year old post - I don't eat the cereal any more, and have now lost 10 stone, not four, lol. :) xx

Yes, I think 1,500 is a good starting point, definitely. As I had 10 stone to lose, I started on more like 1,800. :) xx
