Week 1 over!

I started my calorie counting last week and I'm down 5lbs, can't believe it :) How's everyone else doing?

Thanks gabbiearcher That is fantastic :) How did you do it and in such a short time? My goal is to be down 56lbs in 4 months but I might be over ambitious, once the weight is going down at all I should be grateful.

5lb in a week is amazing! Well done..how many cals a day are you eating? I'm just about to finish week 1 tomorrow too eek nervous x
 
Thanks Dolil I'm on 1250 a day but I still allow myself a low fat packet of crisps everyday because I can't seem to just cut out altogether so I'm just cutting down I'm sure you'll do brilliant Best of luck tomorrow :)

Might be a bit ambitious. Taken me six months to lose 47lb, although I'm not super strict (know I'm in for long haul)


Don't get disheartened if you don't lose at the rate you want. A good healthy sustainable loss averages about 2lb a week.
 
Do you have your crisps on top or as part of 1250? I'm on the same and would be over the moon with even half of your loss! Thank you :)

I love crisps. Rarely eat them now as they set off the binge moster in me. Have found some good substitutes tho (popcorn etc)
I think its better to allow everything in moderation. Stops you feeling deprived and makes the journey more enjoyable.
 
Think your right MissAmy I'm just panicking cause I'm a bridesmaid in a few months so that's why I'm anxious to get it down asap but I know I just need to be patient and be happy with any loss. 47lbs loss is amazing :)
 
I count the crisps in. I'm a crispaholic so I couldn't just cut them out because I knew I wouldn't stick to it then but I hope as the weeks go by I'll go off them altogether. Chocolate is my downfall as well but if I keep seeing results that'll spur me on to ditch that as well I hope!

I'm having a hard few weeks atm, but back on it and hoping to get my half way (50lb) on Saturdays weigh in.

Even if you don't hit 56lb you'll still be so much slimmer than now. 10% of your body weight is apparently when it's really noticeable. 10% for me was about two stone and than was when people noticed my loss.

I did Atkins for 15 months, it worked but was very unforgiving so I wanted a change, hope SW works for me. It will take my body a while to readjust to eating carbs but hopefully the weight loss will start again
