Raw or cooked weights?

I've just started using MFP for calorie counting along with slimming world as I believe my portions are causing me to plateau, but I am having trouble logging unbranded foods such as rice and pasta in particular as I am never sure whether the values given for say 100g of rice or 1 cup of pasta are raw or cooked weights/measures. Does anyone know?

Hi. I am also on MFP. I have a lot of long grain rice and just search for its uncooked weight. If you look through enough entries some will saw cooked or uncooked. Good luck!

How are you getting on with MFP? Do you weigh at home or at the classes?

Hope its going well for you. :)

Loving MFP, I've kind of lost my mojo this last 6 months or more and haven't really lost anything, so started using the app to log my meals, and it really seems to be helping my motivation. I weigh in at class on a Monday and I've been a serial weigher at home. Trying to stay away from the scales until Monday morning, because I think that's been part of my problem.
How are you getting on?

Hi Miss.
Glad yo hear the app is helping. It helps me because it makes me accountable for what I eat and stops me forgetting all the little snacks during the day!

Had a bit too much to eat today but generally its been going good.
I had been dieting from Jan 12 until Aug 13. I moved house in Aug and lost my focus and since then have been gaining- well until nearly 3 weeks ago till I got back onto it!

Do you have much to lose? How much have you lost?
Definitely try to weigh yourself less. If you save it for once a week it feels like more progress if there is a loss and the fluctuations from day to day can make you really stressed!

Definitely agree that it makes you accountable, it makes me realise that the snacks and things that I don't even realise I'm eating are really adding up. Also makes me get my butt in gear and do more exercise to balance it, which is kinda the opposite of what slimming world teach.
I started slimming world (for the 2nd time) in February 2013 and have 5st off, but as I say, I've not lost much in the last 6 months (maybe a stone?). I would like to shift at least another 3st in time for my wedding next year, so that's why I've been a bit of a stress head about it having slowed (stopped).
Congratulations on the move, but yeah, it can be very stressful and hard to stay on track when there's so much going on in your life and when your routine has changed so drastically. How are you finding it? Are you calorie counting on its own, or fitting it in with anything else? I find I need the structure of sw to help pick better meals and snacks, even though some of the "free" food on it like rice and pasta is quite high in calories.
