Step 1 Sole Source Day 2 and not going well

Started yesterday and so far I've tried spicy tom and oriental chilli soup, mango, choc and fruits of the forest shakes, and the porridge are all horrible. Some of them actually made me want to vomit when i was having them :( Thought the choc one would be ok but it was nasty. Tried the choc mint today though and success. I liked it. Need to go and change some of my packs. Consultant said I can have some bars as I'm having trouble.
Just scared that I'm only going to like 3 or 4 things and I'm stuck with them.
This happened when I did lighter life a few years back. Only had choc shakes and veg soup every day.
Anyone else struggle with the taste?
On a plus note, 3 litres of water today :D

Oh good luck! I can't stomach the porridge/soups or rice pudding either...I just stick o the basics strawberry banana and choc! Oh choc mint to mix it up a bit!!

Mind over matter hun. We do this because of the results not because they taste fabulous lol

My mom tried an exante choc shake I had and she said she "didn't like the taste or consistency", I think she was expecting liquid cadburys lol

Keep focused at least until your first weigh in hun, that'll spur you on loads :)

Day 2 for me too! not so bad once I'd stopped expecting take away Indian in a packet. I just tell myself it's the only way this is going to work, having done cwp before though I can tell they've improved the flavours :)

Haha exactly! This is a means to an end

Hi All, I'm also on day 2 and having trouble with the taste of the products :-(

So far I've had 2 flavours of porridge which were inedible and a Spicy Tomato soup today which I couldn't even finish it was so bad!

Luckily both shakes I've tried (cappuccino and mint choc) we're delicious! Going to swap the porridge tomorrow but worried il get bored on just shakes.

Anyone recommend anything that tastes nice?

x

I'm on day 2, and my CDC said a lot of people begin by trying a variety of flavours, but gradually settle on 3 or 4, so not liking many won't necessarily be a problem.

I love the original porridge. I would eat it even if I wasn't trying to lose weight! I don't like the other flavours.

Haven't tried the soups yet but have not seen a single person saying they like the tomato one!

The only shakes I really like are strawberry, banana and butterscotch, but I can cope with most of them (except mint choc and orange choc).

Has anyone had the rice pudding? I've got one but haven't had it yet. Going to put leek and potato soup on the list for next week - that sounds quite nice.

I've not tried the ride pudding but I'm not a fan of it usually so can't see me liking the cd version lol

I love the oriental chilli soup!! Its my favourite

Snap LizzRob! Love that soup, also the chicken & mushroom. I alternate between those 2 as find the other too powdery

Lol crazy creatures aren't we, back in my 'eat what I like' days having the same things daily or even weekly used to bore me to death. Now I enjoy not having to think about it & don't care that I'm having the same things day in day out

I have

Shakes: banana, cappuccino, strawberry and butterscotch
Soup: chicken and mush, and oriental chilli
Porridge: apple and cinnamon
Bars: peanut.

So all of 8 products and I rotate them without thought! It's funny how little I care now as well

I guess I might be the exception that proves the rule. The only things I don't like are the tomato soup, the mango shake and the apple and cinnamon porridge.

I like everything else. Including the rice pud which I know divides opinion. You have to leave it for at least 15 minutes before microwaving else you end up with slightly crunchy rice!

Some shakes I like warm such as chocolate ones and others like the fruit ones I prefer cold. I like sticking the odd tetra in the freezer for a couple of hours for ice cream too. I gave everything a go and get distressed if I get short on options now as I like the choice.

Still I have my absolute favourites too. Like the rice pud, maple and pecan porridge, peanut bar, cranberry bar and the malt toffee bar, as for shakes I like the banana and strawberry best I think.

I'm not feeling brave enough for the rice pud lol and the maple and pecan made me sick haha

But I do love that Cambridge has so much choice. Now I'm starting to work up the steps I am distressed as I have to cut out a product a day!!! The issue is I like my porridge in the morning and my shake or rice pud at lunch and my bar or ice cream tetra in the evening. Which one do I drop? That has been such a hard decision I still bought a random range of things and am testing out the options.
